Getting on the bus with Gus

I hope its Gus. I hope Aj does well too if he gets to play which I hope doesnt happen.

Brodie Croyle/Palko/McNeal next year

You go Gus.

I know that he's fully capable of being a pro-bowl player again with his instincts and arm strength, and I'm very glad that the SF media is showing that he can be a good QB.

All you have to do is when you're throwing touchdowns this season, just turn around, and flip the old bird to guys like death7star

Gus's touchdown celebration--->:wall:

in Gus we trust?

yea i trust gus just dont hit your head against a wall

Mock the Ray Lewis Dance if anything u know

If it's Gus, then it's someone else in the near future, I don't want to win at the expense of not developing a capable QB in AJ.. If Gus starts, I'm behind him because I'm a fan first..but I prefer the younger guy at this point, I want to draft some other players next year, Our D needs a lot of work, and another C and maybe LT if VC doesn't workout, plus Boston's on a 1 year deal, and a lot of our DL.

What makes you so SURE that AJ is "capable". If he can't beat out Gus, that should tell everyone something. I really believe Gus will beat out AJ. I think Gus is just plain better.

I want A.J. because of the age difference- no other reason. I don't care about the draft pick we gave up, it's gone...spielmans call and he is also gone...so lets let it go. If Gus makes us better then he should play just like any other position battle on our team. I always root for the youngsters because they are the unknown quantities and give our future hope...just my 2 cents.

I agree that it would be better for AJ to be the starter IF he was better than Gus. It would be good to have a QB who will be around for a while. No doubt about that. I just don't think it will be Feeley.

Gus is hungry, and I have a strong feeling he'll surprise alot of people this year. It's his chance to regain his form, and prove that he is a legit starter. I'm looking forward to seeing him and Feeley compete. My money is on Gus....

PHINZ RULE!!!

Lately ther was a run on bottom bouning teams to rise to the top. That bottom bouncer was the Fins last year. If we get 1 shot and it happens to be this year, then so be it. Gus may play 2-3 years. We never know. If AJ can not beat him out fair and square, then I absolutely do not want him on the field to hope he develops. I would rather take 2-3 years to groom him or another qb, whatever it takes. Or maybe I should feel like some fans and hope to see a younger guy GIVEN the job, go out, struggle, throw ints' and miss wrs' and end up being the laughing stock again. No primetime games, and never on national broadcast for all fans' to see. Just in the hope a younger guy can progress and let a vet sit b/c he is older. No rationalization of this sort makes any sense.

You may say we will never know. If he can't beat Gus then we may never know. The 05'-06 season is for the 05-06 season not 06-07-08-09.........

So may the best man win and to both I wish good luck!!! I will 100% support whoever wins the job until he fails to prove he deserves it.

I just want the best one out there!

AJ threw 100 passes without an INT to conclude the season.

He was progressing...

There is no way I can root for a 34 year old QB who wasnt even part of this team last year. Gus didnt go thru the trials and tribulations we did.

AJ suffered thru the Ricky stuff, hurricanes, injuries and coaching changes.......just like we all did.

Thats why Im rooting for AJ.

During his last 3 games (115 pass attempts) AJ only threw 1 INT, but he took 10 sacks. He basically turned into Rob Johnson. I wouldn't call this progressing. I would be enthused if he were reading defenses or showing some increased feel, that would be significant progress.

Root for whoever, but understand that whoever wins, will give us the best chance to win games.
That is like saying Wanny deserved another year b/c he suffered through hurricanes and horrible scheduling by the league. Bad luck w/ injuries and bad GM decisions. Support him too, if you are using this logic. Support Minor as our starting back b/c he went through all AJ did and more. He has been here longer. Support Morris as a starter for the heart he showed last year. That logic is crazy.

I think I understand that you really are more of a homer and want to see a veteran FIN win the job. I feel the same way at times as do we all. In this situation I just want the best one out ther. I like Feeley and think he showed a world of heart, and I will support him 100% if he wins it. I am cheering both of these guys on.

so I guess that you wont be rooting for Brown, Roth, Crowder, Daniels, Alabi, Carter, Holliday, Spragan, Tillman, any of our UFAs, etc all because they didnt go through the Dolphin tribulations last season
