Good news on Mike Pouncy via PFF

Pouncey will be a great center for our new coach.

He's been playing better than expected. The obvious weakness on our line is on the right side.

On a positive note, Carey is getting a little better at RG, but I still have NO faith in Colombo. He's going to get Henne killed.

but but...put him at LG....who wants to develop him into our center for the next 10 years?

After watching the video, i saw great things from the o-line on the left side in particular.

-Jake long lockin down the left side in the run game.
- incog and pouncey work great together and completely dominate the texans nose tackle.
-Pouncey pancakes the texans middle linebacker in one of thomas break out runs.
-Pouncey again takes out the mlb in another dt run by lockin his man down pushin him towards the left side.
-The left side of the o-line is stronger than they get credit for in the run game.

Good work, but the belief is the Texans NT sucks.

Lol. That's right and don't forget how lousy our FO is. Pouncey and Thomas looked pretty good on Sunday to me. Not to mention they have a combined 3 games of NFL experience. Me thinks they will get better...

Memo to the couch potatoes who have run Ireland out of town every week for a couple of years now. As Jim Mora once said in his epic rant "you just don't know...you think you know, but you just don't know...and the sad thing is you never will know."

The talent on this team is much, much better than when Ireland first got here but so many of the doomsdayers can't get past the fact the team is 0-2, losing to two teams that are better (albeit marginally in the case of the Texans) than Miami right now.

yep a solid game from 2 draft picks zeros out the fact that this team has steadily gotten worse since going 11-5.

I still don't see the problem with him at LG, but I'm obviously glad he is having success at Center. Still he consistently snaps the ball higher than you would like and it seems to throw the timing off just a little bit. He was the only guy really dominating last week on this OLine.

Pouncey is going to be a good player for us.

I wonder who are ahead of him in the rankings...? Very excited either way, bodes well for Luck next season :p

I'm sure I read that he was going to be a bust. Clearly your source of information is inaccurate.

brandon marshall, jake long, dan carpenter (usually), reggie bush - studs. mike pouncey, daniel thomas - perhaps future studs. davone bess, brian hartline, richie incognito, anthony fasano - solid players. clyde gates - raw with plenty of potential and upside. the future on offense looks bright. all players acquired by this regime.
