Good quarterbacking is innate.

The bottom line is it doesn't matter what anyone here thinks or wants, Tannehill will get at least one more year. I will root that he is our long term answer at QB.

Ridiculous, Rodgers sat for a while before he started. Tom Brady sat almost his first full first year. Drew Brees, like others have said was average at best in SD. The list goes on and on. Sometimes it takes 2-3 years for them to get it, others more. I'm not prepared to dump a QB that was drafted as a "project" and should have sat his first year. But we started him since day one and im going to back him until the team decides otherwise.

The point isn't that Tannehill should do what they do. The point is stop making excuses for the guy. He was God-awful for the past two weeks.

so you judge a qb on a week to week basis? you dont judge them on their body of work?

Marino never had a running game and won 0 Super Bowls. You'd think Miami fans would appreciate the importance of having ANY sort of running game to keep a D off balance. Why did Geno play solidly today? Running game.

7 points, 3 interceptions and and a 47 quarterbacking rating in 8 quarters of football. With the playoffs on the line. Outplayed by Thad Lewis and Geno Smith.

Let that sink in.

In Brees' last two years in San Diego he threw 51 TDs vs. 21 INTs. And his team was 20-11. Far from "average at best".

Noones making excuses, it's the fact that some of you are pinning the losses on one player. It's actually quite pathetic. I think Tannehill will make a fine QB, and yes I agree he needs to work on things like his timing and awareness. But he's not the sole reason the Phins have lost games.

Oh that Buffalo game was his fault? Where he was getting hit every time and receivers were dropping passes?

Thad Lewis and Geno were hardly passing connoisseurs. The Bills ran for over 200 yards. The Jets ran for over 150+. What did Ryan have supporting him? 10 yards rushing in Buffalo?! Lol

When the D knows all you can and will do is pass, guess what, your chances of success just got cut in half.

No, I am judging his body of work. He turned the ball over way too much this season. He had a few very good games and wins. Overall, inconsistent, and played very poorly the last two weeks when a playoff spot was on the line.

I am not arguing that we should move on from Tannehill. I am praying that he is the answer finally. But, I am done making excuses for him. Missing Wallace wide open for a TD when we should have had a 14-0 lead killed this team today.

And in the 3 games before that he had 8tds 2ints and a 103.4 qb rating. Why are you picking stats/games that fits your agenda????
