That's 5 of how many whiffs in the last several years. Besides, I think you can take Gronk and Hernandez off of that list. Everyone knew these guys were superbly talented, it was Gronk's injury history that made him slide and Hernandez's character (which was obviously dead on) which made him slide. The Pats do not draft well. They get a ton of picks, throw **** at the wall and see what sticks, and it rarely does for them. They have Tom Brady, a good line and a hall of fame coach, that's where it begins and ends for that team.
Many fans here are believing that this is their fantasy football draft. The trenches matter in real football and the ignorance around is here is quite astounding.
James is a good player and he'll start day 1 but it was a tremendous reach in an event that's all about value. Could have traded back and got the same player along with more picks. That's how you get ahead. That's how the New England Patriots have won Super Bowls and dominated the draft. They understand value and the Dolphins don't. And that's why year after year we're spinning our tires in the mud.
