Some info on the campaign...

Football season means tailgating season, and Bud Light is allowing you to leave your koozies at home by decorating its cans with your favorite team’s colors and logo.

Bud Light announced a new campaign around the 2015 NFL season that includes team-branded cans for the 28 teams the beer brand has partnerships with, Forbes reported. Cities without a team will have general NFL-themed cans at their local grocery stores.

“We know that the association of the NFL and teams is having a positive impact on Bud Light. We want to make sure that in the way we design the campaign, we can become much more locally relevant,” Bud Light Vice President Alexander Lambrecht said. “This is an important opportunity for a brand like Bud Light. We know it’s what consumers want from consumer research.”

Bud Light has thrown logos on its beer before, but the newly designed cans are totally redesigned and feature scroll messages relevant to the local city’s team. For example, Miami Dolphins cans will read, “The perfect beer for making tonight like the ’72 season — perfect,” while Seahawks cans say, “The perfect beer for cheering so loudly it registers on the Richter scale.”

The Bears, Cowboys, Packers and Vikings were not included because they do not have partnership deals with Bud Light.

Expect to see parking lots around NFL stadiums littered with empty versions of these cans in the near future.

To be fair, that ad was 4 years after he retired and he was labeled "too small for pro football", coming out of college.

Damn who still drinks Natty Lights?......I used to buy these and Hamms, Pabst Blue Ribbon and Old Milwaukees in college because it was the cheapest beer at most liquor stores. I would need to drink ten Natty Lights to even get a slight buzz. :chuckle:
