Yea, Jets need to DOUBLE Superbowl appearances from 1 to 2. Dude, you franchise has been a joke most of its history, show some humility and shut the hell up.

It's a good thing we aren't still in the 70s or you might be able to crow about your team over mine.

Anytime you play a regular season game, and most especially an in-division regular season game, it is a meaningful game junc. You know that.

Sure rivalry games are always meaninful at the time but none of our 3 losses to you the last 2 years hurt our playoff seeding so they turned out to be meaningless.

Correction...You "were" competing for a chance to be in the Super Bowl. Granted, it was more than us Phin fans got to experience the last 2 seasons, but looking at your offseason I don't think you can be near as optimisitc as you were last year.

I'll give you credit where credit is due...The Jets had 2 great seasons. In our defense, our team actually looks to have improved our roster this offseason and is on the upswing, and I feel the Jets took a step back this offseason. Just my opinion though...

yeah our offseason sucked. We only re-signed a top 10 WR, brought in a 6'5" RZ target, a great #3, got all our core guys locked up long term, brought back eric Smith, Brodney pool, Wayne Hunter(all guys no one thought we could keep), had what looks like a good draft but we did nothing.

Where has your team improved and our team not improved? by the way, we were well ahead of you so you had more room to improve to catch us.

LOL..keep in mind that their "first" SB appearance was the equivalent of making it into the 2nd game of the playoffs today.

When is the last time you saw a 2nd playoff game? won a 2nd playoff game?

the jets are the least improved team of the considered "top tier" teams. they replaced good wide receivers with aging ones. also, i dont see LT have the first half that he had last year. they also lost playmakers on their D. id be very surprised if they made the playoffs this year.

I love Cotch but for this season mason is better, we replaced Braylon w/ Plax and we brought back holmes. Our WR corps will be really good. Shonn Greene will carry the load, we have a good group of RBs. What playmakers did we lose? I hate losing a long time Jet like Ellis but he wasn't going to play much anyway and NE badly overpaid, we lost a meaningless guy in jason Taylor. Our biggest loss was probably Ihedigbo moreso b/c he was a good STer.

If we have relatively good health it will be shocking if we miss the playoffs.

dolphins ZERO playoff wins

Doesn't that mean more right now? The dolphins have the better history but in recent, more relevant times we have been the better franchise and it isn't very close.

Sounds like we need a sticky thread where anytime anyone hears anything on Mike and Mike that's a knock on the Phins, we can just bring the thread up and have a standard reply to it. Otherwise we'll continue to have new threads that rehash the same topics over and over. Hell this is already the second thread about what Greenberg has said on his show in the last couple of weeks.

I really don't mind junk being here. It's fun to get to hear the opinions of a rival. Yes, the jets have had better seasons than us in the recent past. It is the nature of sports. But our games with each other are always entertaining. I hope we are on the upswing this season. It would be nice to end up fighting it out with the jets/pats for a playoff spot.....Like the good ol' days. Besides, why should we mind junk debating with us here anyway? Lord knows there are enough of our own "fans" bashing our team here already!
