It's not only going to cost players and coaches their jobs, but the organization is going to lose draft picks as well. This is going to set back the team a long time. No one is going to want to come to Miami to Play or Coach. It's a damn shame too, because the team finally got a decent young QB to lead the franchise out of the dumps and than you have all this stuff happen. I see a few top 5 draft picks in Miami's future, that is of course after losing a few picks over the next few seasons. Stephen Ross got his man in Philbin, now he's got to live with the results of a coaching staff seemingly incapable of keeping the players in line, even after several instances where players tried to challenge Philbin in 2012 and where put in their place, either by being traded, cut and pushed back by the coach.

Please note that I'm not in any way shape or form defending Richie, he is a dope, but that stuff is pretty common. If you think the coaching staff is going to get toasted for that revelation... dude, we just traded for Bryant McKinnie. Bryant McKinnie was just involved in a situation where he rented a bus full of strippers and one of his teammates got injured after getting into a fight with one of them.

Koa Misi kicked down a dude's door to punch his face in and he's still on the team. Maybe Koa is more sympathetic because the guy was shouting racial epithets at his girlfriend, but that's actually worse than what Richie did.

We also don't know what action the team took in the background. And also, the incident needs to be viewed in the context of the team immediately suspending Richie and the inside source with the team letting everyone know that Richie was done with the Dolphins due to his history.

And by the way, I guarantee there are a lot more such incidents that have been successfully covered up quietly, not just for the Dolphins, but for every pro sports team in America.


I think Jeff Ireland will be fired as soon as the NFL investigation is finished. I think Joe Philbin survives if the team makes the playoffs. Just my hunch.

The timeline is fuzzy. It seems like the alleged incident occured and the Phins apparently worked out some kind of deal ? And then she filed the report ? But we know she was paid off by someone and the case was never pursued. IF, IF the the Phins paid her ant not Cogs, we're !*&^%$#.

What makes you think that? The saints still have their head coach after he wanted his players to go out and injure other players, and those injuries could have lead to life long repercussions. Again, we don't even have all the facts, every thread created about this whole saga, and the results of it are pure speculation.

Yes, it's football, and still subject to the law. As yet, Ireland hasn't disputed the account, so I have no reason to think the agent is deliberately misrepresenting the encounter.

Uhm, I fully believe that Richie groped that woman. Fully believe it.

However, as you point out, guys like Big Ben have done worse -- he's an actual RAPIST. He's still on the Steelers. He's a team leader. Mike Vick went to federal prison for torturing and killing dogs and running a cross-state gambling ring -- signed immediately to the Eagles after getting out of prison, is a team leader. Look up Cedric Benson, Cornwell's last NFL client.
