GUARANTEED: we will be down a few coaches and front office members when this is over

Heard from where?

A "source." Nothing earth-shattering, as I don't know any high mucky-mucks, but something that makes me believe there is a little bit of hysteria and overreaction here. The team is absolutely getting a couple of black eyes out of this, but... folks, just wait and see what happens.

You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out.
no just some putts that thinks they know what goes on in a football locker room... for those who think its like working in a office or warehouse or store you're all gravely mistaken... it's a mean environment, that's how its is.. if you have to thick skin to endure it then you have a career in the NFL, if not then your out... Martin is a pu$$y he shuld have taken care of business behind closed doors and that would have been that. i'd be very surprised that Martin ever plays for another NFL team again...

I can tell you what the findings and results of the report will be in Golden Book fashion:

* The Fins locker room was out of control, out of line and not what a "workplace should be".
* Jonathan Martin was bullied and harassed, but never properly alerted anyone until AFTER leaving the team (this protects the NFL and the franchise from major financial loss)

The results:
* Dolphins pay Martin X amount of dollars he was owed and is released to find a new team
* Incognito is a FA and not re-signed.
* Jeff Ireland, Joe Philbin and the staff is fired
* Players are warned, but not fined or suspended and told not to be a part of hazing again.
* The NFL makes rigid rules for how locker rooms are to behave going fwd.

Well all that might be a good direction for dolphins as long as it ha no more long term effects

this stuff goes on in any locker room...martins just a wuss

a 300 lb wuss

So lets say Martin is gay. You feel the locker room has every right to make homophobic references over and over

I agree with the others that Martin is weak and a snake. I also do not think this FO and staff did anything out of the ordinary compared to the rest of the league.

However, political correctness and appeasement are raging throughout this great nation and it will ensnare the leaders of this team.

Martin is a snake.

I'm just gonna state for the record I was never in Martin's corner , and I believe the word bully has no place in Football. I also believe if he had the problems he said he had , he could have easily settled it in house.

This is what I mean, the media has already made up their mind.

Duke Lacrosse was destroyed by national opinion and they ended up being wrong in the end. But in the wake, the coach was fired, players arrested, season cancelled among other things.

Duke was destroyed briefly. Their 2006 season was cut short. They were in the championship game in 2007, and lost. They won the championship in 2010 and 2013.

Duke is an example of 3 things. 1) rush to judgement 2) facts did come out eventually 3) teams do not have to be crippled.

Problem with things nowadays especially in The US of A is everyone's quick to sue for everything and anything. Personally I think he should have just left the situation without all this BS attached to it. I dunno if it was from an agent or family standpoint to pursue this or not, either way he should've just quit and not brought anyone else down with him. Because in the beginning this was a non issue especially reading that very 1st text between Martin and Incognito.

I only played in high school. The locker room enviorment can only be duplicated in the military. 75K people don't show up to watch your sales pitch.

I like these gaurantee this and that threads. Theyre about as accurate in their gaurantee as Joey Porter was when he Gauranteed we would beat NE and they destroyed us.

Please note that I'm not in any way shape or form defending Richie, he is a dope, but that stuff is pretty common. If you think the coaching staff is going to get toasted for that revelation... dude, we just traded for Bryant McKinnie. Bryant McKinnie was just involved in a situation where he rented a bus full of strippers and one of his teammates got injured after getting into a fight with one of them.

Koa Misi kicked down a dude's door to punch his face in and he's still on the team. Maybe Koa is more sympathetic because the guy was shouting racial epithets at his girlfriend, but that's actually worse than what Richie did.

We also don't know what action the team took in the background. And also, the incident needs to be viewed in the context of the team immediately suspending Richie and the inside source with the team letting everyone know that Richie was done with the Dolphins due to his history.

And by the way, I guarantee there are a lot more such incidents that have been successfully covered up quietly, not just for the Dolphins, but for every pro sports team in America.

I think Jeff Ireland will be fired as soon as the NFL investigation is finished. I think Joe Philbin survives if the team makes the playoffs. Just my hunch.
Wanny - you left out one of the best in team history: Eddie Moore gets knocked out of his skull for looking at some dude's girlfriend at a bar!

A friend of mine thinks this is Ross's chance to finally get his Gruden / Cowher-Power he's been seeking. I'm sure with the possibly far-reaching stench of this mess, a "Known-Name" would have a whole lot more free-reign to change as much of the Dolphins facility and culture as they see fit, instead of having to work under Ireland and assimilate in. The position is finally lucrative since Ireland would likely be gone if heads roll.

We'll see.

On the other hand, I don't mind keeping Philbin. I believe he's innocent until proven guilty, and he's beaten good teams this year that we shouldn't have won against. The losses against the Bills and Ravens were largely Sherman's ineptness at playcalling, Ireland's shoddily built O-Line, Sturgis' slump, and injuries to the defense.
If Philbin man's up and sorts out these issues, I think he's a formidable NFL HC.
