Hard to think Bills won't be better than Miami in 2014

I'll wait to make a call like this until after FA, the draft and call me crazy but maybe training camp. A lot can happen from now until next season.

All I know right now is we are still in the hunt and they are not. Yes they completely dominated us yesterday, but does that mean they are the better football team over a full season?

Our DL is every bit as good as theirs. The problem is their OL is much better.

Buffalo, NYJ, and Miami are going to be pretty even until one of our QB's steps up. Not for a few games, but over a season and then over years. Its really that simple.
 
The Bills QB situation, THIS YEAR, was really rough and their WRs and TEs were pretty ineffective due to injury and lack of depth there. Robert Woods is starting to emerge, Stevie Johnson should be 100% by next year but he isn't really a superstar like the top 10 (all those guys are TE-sized). Buffalo needs Manuel to stay healthy and take a step forward. I do see, though, that he might only be playing like a rookie next year because he missed so much action. He's definitely and question mark at this point. They'd be smart to maybe out-bid the Bears for McKown or find more of a premium back-up. But they seem stout at the LoS on both sides of the ball and their LBs are pretty good too.
 
It comes down to the QB... If you look at the division, any division, the rankings of each team usually comes down to QB play. The Dolphins have the 2nd best QB in the division and this have the 2nd best record. Will the Bills have a better QB than Miami in 2014? I don't think so.

Bills are a tough team that will make some noise in the future, but until they find a QB, they won't be a true threat

I guess, coming in, our run defense stats were about even.

My question is this: how could the Bills totally destroy our O-line which had been really holding it together during our win streak? We had been able to run the ball enough lately to keep opposing defenses from killing Tannehill like Bill's D did yesterday.
When I was watching us play the Patriots last week, they showed Wilfork on the sidelines. If he had played for NE this year, NE would've flat-out pulverized us.
 
Hey you know what I noticed, GREAT (future HOF) QBs like Manning and Brady looked very pedestrian when the O-line were not able to control the line in a few games, then miraculously as the line started to give them time, they started to light up the scoreboard.

Hmm, could the fact that Ryan had no time to even take a step or react, and that that pass-rush was coming from every direction, not allowing him to try and buy time, could that be the reason that Ryan was not as effective in Buffalo.

So what if for the last few weeks the line has been adequate, and Ryan has rated 90+ in each of those games, that was just a coincidence, it's very obvious that Ryan just can't play QB that well.
 
Are you guys totally writing off Manuel? I don't get that. We all saw the hit that took him out and that could've happened to any QB who's ever run out of the pocket or even stayed in one (Carson Palmer, anyone?) Did Palmer suddenly become 'glass'? Guys get hurt. Flacco's knee definitely seemed to affect him yesterday.

I just think it's stupid to think of Manuel as 'glass'. He's a big guy with a big arm and he could turn into a star with no less certainty than Tannehill's further development. I'm not ready to write that guy off. Geno Smith seems the most likely to never become a real NFL QB.
 
Wake up. Thad would have had 25 yards passing. The only reason he was able to get what he did is bc their offense was on the field the ENTIRE game!!! He should have had 600 yds of offense with how many 3 and outs we had. Our Oline got man handled like school girls.

I really liked what I saw from Manuel, the fact is though he was injured and missed time on three separate occasions just this season alone.
