Has Geno Smith passed R. Tannehill ?

I just posted excerpts from an old Cimini article in the LOLJests thread regarding all the warning signals Geno raised in his pre draft interviews, his lack of classroom commitment and difficulty in coping with adversity. And then of course there's his draft day decorum. So is his hire more on him or Itzdick cuz they supposedly thoroughly vetted him and didn't perceive those red flags? This morning on Mike & MIke, they were commenting how he looked lost with that towel over his head when benched, while he should have had the earpiece in his ear and going over playcalling with Morningwood and Vick. As Cimini drolly pointed out, NY may not be the ideal fit for him. Throw in the fingers and it looks like you've got someone lacking the necessary coping abilities to overcome incoming shrapnel when things don't go his way. Henne had it, Tannehill certainly has it, Manual looks like he has it, Sanchez when not moping on the end of the bench had it, Melty Ice has it, etc...Josh Freeman apparently did not. Without that intangible, you're as good as gone!

There isn't a deflection, we all have struggling young QBs. you and Buffalo have more talent around the QB and your young QBs are struggling. Last year we took Geno out at the half of our game vs. you guys, the next 4 games to end the season he was very good including badly outplaying your hero in the biggest game of Ryan's life.

Geno is surrounded by enough to get to the playoffs. Quality OL. Ivory is 6th in the league in YPC. Geno has only been sacked 8 times.

Stop making excuses. With decent QB play, the Jets would be leading the division and headed to the playoffs.

IMO, that secondary has too many issues to easily declare them a playoff spot despite QB play.

Tannehill can not name the teams in the East division of the AFC.

Geno's Myth can not tell time away from the Eastern time zone.

Final Jeopardy Question: which QB, who a few consider the gold standard, notorious for disappearing in postseason 2nd halfs, is now 6-15 since the start of '13, still hasn't won a game outdoors since 2012 and already in postseason form just took a lead into the second half only to then put up 7 2nd half points, 1 TD , 1 Int, a 56% completion percentage and a 72QBR in that second half on the way to his 3rd loss of the season despite the healthiness of 2 elite receivers and a very good RB? Don't forget to answer in the form of a question.

Looks like Geno's greatness yesterday answeres this thread.

Anyone feeling sorry for him? :chuckle:

I gave Geno a chance, I don't throw away players/coaches easily but Geno is not the answer. once again it's time to try find another QB in the draft unless they are smart enough to re-sign Mark this offseason.
