Hayden Fox's Assessment Week 2 One Assessment

"Reinforcements are coming..Reshad Jones and Dion Jordan"??? Really...

Sure. Have you seen the MASH unit that are the Miami Dolphins?

I will at the very least take Jordan covering kicks and providing pass rush snaps and adding ANOTHER quality DB. They should have fresh legs as well.

Ya know Haden, you mention we have reinforcements coming and I agree but THill is really not looking the part. I'm afraid it doesn't matter how healthy we get because we are closer and closer losing to losing the QB play. I'm starting to think I was wrong about him. With that said our season could very likely be over. To me it looks like Ryan is regressing under this new offense while last year you could see glimmers of hope. Could it be he's still learning the timing of this O or have we seen his best?

Nice write up again Hayden. That was definitely a fumble.

Rashad Jones coming back will be welcomed with getting Jimmy Wilson off the field! Not sure where the moniker big play Jimmy came from, because he sux as a tackler! He is terrible at safety! The players we will get back in the upcoming weeks will be huge lifts for us, plus the schedule is a big lift as well!

We are not built to beat that team, lucky for us they'll fade into the middle of the pack, but we are built to compete against the better teams.

Take Jones back and move Wilson back to nickel also instead of Davis

The team has to stay with RT. I want to see a complete game for this offense. Him making smart decisions and accurate throws and the receivers catching the ball consistently.

With that said, there is a steady, respected veteran that can make all the throws standing on the sideline. I am not saying I am ready to go to Matt Moore, but if this team is in games and being kept from winning because of QB play, the move to Matt Moore has to be discussed.

Agreed my friend.

Hayden - all of your comments are fair. I have been a big defender of Ryan Tannehill but he looked pretty bad today. The old problem of the opposing D-line batting down passes, seems to have resurfaced.
I don't know why more passes are not directed to Brandon Gibson (last week as well). Very few passes for Hartline, too.
After last week's terrific second half, we sure stunk it up today. Lazor will be livid with the huge number of sloppy dropped balls. It will be interesting to see how the team responds to this. It's actually a good test of team spirit.

Kansas City is not as bad as people think. They have problems with OL and WRs but that is not a TERRIBLE football team.

They are coming back to the pack after getting a bit lucky last year and facing a bunch of teams playing backup QBs week after week. But they aren't bad and I expect a close game next week.

Team needs to step up.

You are correct. Terrible injuries on the line and some of their best players are hurt. However, they are coached well and will be desperate in Miami next week. However, Miami needs to be desperate and pissed that they laid an egg. Players that sucked this week must return with vengeance. Players that have been out with suspensions need to be accounted for. Finally, this team must come up with turnovers and big plays that win games.

Positives
The bottom-line is Miami is in solid spot after two weeks. They defended their home field against a great team in New England and lost going into a tough environment against a bad matchup in Buffalo. Miami is exactly where it should be.

Agreed Hayden.
Honestly this game was a wakeup call to all the things Miami does wrong in evenly-matched games.
I didn't expect a win in the least bit, but I wanted to see us rise above the many deficiencies we had going in to the game, such as maybe Wake and Vernon having a monster game on Manuel, special teams shutting out Spiller, and quick screens to Moreno, Miller, Gibson and Hartline to get the pressure off the pocket, and maybe even have Tannehill use his legs to escape the D-Line.
Very few if none of that ended up happening, and perhaps it was too much to ask for. I think these are the things they need to work on -- momentum changing plays.

I saw some good today, the D held it's own when they needed to, deep in their own territory, and Wallace had a few nice grabs, but the momentum was never in our favor.

Looking at the stats i'd say the "dinking away" comment was pretty accurate. Longest competed pass 18 yards. Longest run 8 yards. Once gain numerous plays left on the field by the offense. Those two early sacks back to back should never have happened just throw the ball away.
Good game from Wallace again. Should have had another TD on the under throw... again. Great play by Grimes on Watson in the end zone but he really whiffed on the Spiller run.
Special team were anything but.

Thanks for the post Hayden.

Dink and dunk is correct. Poor play calling in the 4th quarter. Year after year this team finds a way to shoot themselves in the foot by killing their own clock when behind.

Seems like this loss was destined. The Bills have renewed themselves as our nemesis. I am anxious to see how this team responds.

Keep playing that like RT and we will have to find another Qb. That last pick was so silly. Sorry but I think RT needs to win games on his own if we ever want success in the playoffs. Defense did fine since they were the only team playing.

Mike McCoy with a huge win today lead by franchise QB Phillip Rivers.

Rivers went right at Richard Sherman and played him like he was Sean Smith.

Dinking? LOL. I chuckled when he said that in a day that had me frustrated mostly.

I am not putting my hand in the McCoy hornet's nest this year. LOL. I think the guy can coach and he is getting a ton out of Rivers. However, I am not rubbing it in this year. I really want the Fins to do well and it starts next Sunday at 4pm at Sun Life.
