That's right, turn it into a personal attack on me. Whoa, who saw that coming....

This coming from the guy that insulted my dead mother when I called him a Feeley lover.

Your right the comedy on this board is AMAZING!

You take everything so seriously!

Especially anything to do with AJ.

getting picked on a 5 yard out is getting picked on a 5 yard out no matter what the offense is and your experience in it.

I take it seriously when somebody who dislikes me, makes a disparaging remark about me, no matter if they try to mask their intentions with a cute smiley or not.

Sorry to dissapoint you but it is highly unlikely Feeley will be cut this year. Only save $540,000 this year on cap this year, with 1.8 million dead money added to next years cap.

If Feeley doesn't show enough this year to be considered the definate starter for 2006, he'll be cut for 2.3 million in cap savings in 2006 (4.1 million cap hit - 1.8 million dead money) unless he restructures the 3.5 million salary.

On a side note, two other players that have to produce big time or get cut if they don't restructure in 2006 salaries are SS Jones (3 mill) and T McIntosh (3.3 mill).

Wow it took me 6 pages before someone even mentioned the word restructure with all this 4.1 mill cap hit for next season talk about Feeley. Just because he has a big cap number doesn't mean you're gonna get the axe. I didn't realize Miss Cleo read these forums... :goof:

Knife to a gun fight?

Secondly, I never started off disliking you I actually respected your opinions until recently you dug your heels in so completely for Feeley that you are willing to insult someone’s mother (mine) for daring to call you a Feeley lover.

There is no comparison! So please do not try to come off as the righteous one here.

After watching feeley play last year and in preseason this year, i don't see how anybody could think this guy is the future of the dolphins

Yes, knife to a gun fight....the escalation of violence....you bring a knife I bring a gun, you bring a gun, I bring a bomb.....you insult me, I insult you worse.....There is no righteous one here....two wrongs don't make a right.

So figure out why my opinion means so much to you that I can't give it without your commenting/insulting me on it, then we'll be halfway to having this problem solved...

So, in other words, AJ got screwed. Like Griese got screwed over Fiedler?

Look, AJ knew the deal.. He should've stepped up his game but he didn't and he's paying for it. Maybe next hear he'll get his shot. After he fully understands the Linehan scheme of things.

Yeap, i agree familiarity in teh system is huge. I agree Gus has teh comfort level playing in his third year in this system. I also feel Feeley can benefit by sitting a year and learning, not having teh pressure on him he did last year. I also agree that if AJ is upset at not starting, he needed to step up and show he was comfortable, he didnt. I also like he is disappointed in not starting, a qb should not be happy he is sitting, but I am kinda disaapointed in the way he seems to be taking it, kinda pouting. There are ways to handle it, being disappointed is the right attitude, pouting isnt. He needs to take it as a challenge and work even harder to show what he believes makes him starting quality. But it isnt outrageous behavoir, hopefully he suks it up and uses this to his benefit.

Disagree. He should fully understand the offense by now. He needs time playing in it to execute the offense, not understand it. If he doesn't understand it by now than it's his own fault.

LOL that is a funny statement. I bet ghe does have the plays memorized. But if you think sitting watching film can actually immitate playing in a game and seeing it there you are wrong. You can have a full understanding of the philosophy and teh plays, but need to get experience PLAYING in teh system to develop teh familiarity. Between games and practice reps, that is where this comes from, not from film work. Film work lets you see it from a distance, then when you go thru teh practice and games, you start to recognize what you saw on film.

I still find it funny how everyone says AJ has played horribly while Gus has played great. Even Bedard who bashes Feeley regular says Frerrotte has been accurate. It is when you compare teh 2 and see their comfort level in teh system that Gus is ahead, which he should be. It is that that has him starting. AJ has not looked horrible.

agreed

Feeley has tunnel vision - about as wide a tunnel as the one those guys used to rob that bank in Brazil

Consider the value of that 2nd and then tell me if you really think Feeley was worth it. Face it, we gave up too much, there's not way too deny that. In a season where a man like T.O. was moved for a 2nd, getting AJ for the equivalent is just ludicrous. Looking back on Speilman/Wanny moves should attest to how bad the trade was.

Well the only flaw in that is that qbs generally demand more in teh trade market. Hasselback commanded a 1st. yeah I know it was a swap plus a pick, but teh swap involved a move into teh top ten for a pick in teh 20's. Equivalent of moving from teh second into teh first. Now I now agree it was too much, AJ has not progressed to the point you would expect from a guy worth that high of a pick. My only point is qbs are a higher cost in the NFL.

I don't think it is a good comparison to compare Hasselback and Feeley.

Hasselback played QB much more in College than Feeley, and he looked great in preseason games when he was with Green Bay. He had some preseason games without any incompletions.

Feeley has never looked very good. He looks like he has potential SOMETIMES, but most of the time he just looks below average.

He could'nt beat out that funny looking redneck (Detmer) in Philly or even Gus Ferrotte here. How good can he possibly be?

It doesn't take Miss Cleo to realize if he's not the starter, we don't pay him a $3.5 million salary next year.
