Heath Evans - Why He's a Dolphins Hater

My vote for biggest bonehead NFL analyst/expert on the TV is a 3 way tie... Maruicci, Deion, & M Irvin. Heath finishes in a close 4th.

Ah, man. I actually kinda like Mooch. He's positive, enthusiastic and generally keeps his opinions out of his analysis. IMO, he still has a passion for the game in which others seem to be just collecting a paycheck to satisfy their TV egos.

To each his own, as they say. And have absolutely no disagreement on the other clowns. Funny enough, they're usually the ones I end up watching on NFLN anyways as I refuse to turn on the Disney Sports Channel (ESPN) and SoapOperaCenter.

I'd rather listen to fingernails on a chalkboard than that whole Thurday night crew, Faulk is the worst for me. Don't mind Irvin too much though. Heath is an overachiever at everything he does. He should in no way, shape, or form be a TV personality. But, there he is, in all his douchey glory on my tv screen as we speak.

Evans is a whiny little bitch. We should have called the cops and tried to get a warrant for theft.

Moral of this story is, don't fire someone over the phone. That being said, I want Miami to win it all now more than ever. Just to spite that little bitch.

I don't get moving this at all?

Oh i see merged with another thread on the main page. Cool

If this story is true then what it says about Heath Evans is despicable. [strike] Now, having said that, let's look at what this event says about the Dolphins.

First, if the story is correct it means that someone on the team (Coach/GM/??) called Evans and told him that he had been cut. You don't do that over the telephone. You do something like that in person. Whether it means bringing him to Davie or sending the coach to his home. You fire a man in person, not over the phone.

Second, doesn't every NFL team have a security division that is responsible for protecting team assets like this? Where was the Dolphins security team? If they knew they were going to cut him over the phone, why didn't they have a security guard ready at his door to ask for the return of the playbook? I have had the misfortune of having to fire a couple of less than competent employees over the course of my career and the protocols for doing this are well known. You turn off the employee's access to the company's computers while he is in the office with the manager who is firing him. This speaks of an unbelievable level of incompetence in the Dolphin's front office.

Third, why didn't the Dolphins file a lawsuit against Evans to require the return of Dolphin's property? Surely there must something in every player's contract that requires return of team property upon completion of employment with a significant financial penalty associated with failure to do so. Did the Dolphins even report this to the league offices?

What Evans did is theft of team property, pure and simple. The failure of the Dolphins organization to anticipate, prevent and respond to this theft is beyond belief. And people wonder why we are remain mediocre..[/strike].

We also could ramble on to throw in another gratuitous rant about what a consistent scumbag Belicheat continued to be before having his cheating ass outed and SB victory run stopped.. and that if Mangina wasn't so butthurt, he'd still be cheating. And that in this instance a less corrupt HC with integrity have have done the right thing telling Douchevans "I'll glady accept your knowledge, but it's unethical to steal someone else's playbook as my belief is that I should treat others the way I in turn would like to be treated."

.. But the fact is that you should have stopped right after your first sentence as everything beyond that is agenda-driven irrelevancy!

If Evans did that he should just drop dead right now. He has no integrity for the game and sportsmanship. They cut you dipchit, take your medicine like a man and move on. One thing is to tell Bill all the plays you have memorized, but to hand another coach a playbook to sell yourself is disgusting. Those books are sacred to every team and it should be an unwritten law. I don't hate too many former players or analysts but that takes the cake. Despicable human being. He's the kid who cried when he struck out in little league baseball

Actually, I'd say that he's the kid who threw the bat at the pitcher when he struck out in little league baseball.

Not surprised this comes from you. You have been given proof that Belicheat is what he is, and that Heath Evans is lower than pond scum, and you just take every opportunity to bash on the Fins. Pathetic thread. You should just go and be the Pats fan you were born to be.

Funny considering the teams split the series that year. Not a shock to hear the Patriots cheating but nothing happening to them really.

Funny how this article has been moved to the you have to pay to read it section, today.
Yesterday on the sun-sentinel site it was free. Today you have to pay.

For someone who works in information security, either the organization was way too lax on policy or this, assuming it is true, is outright theft of proprietary information (probably a mix of both). Last I remember, the front office went to digital playbooks on iPads. Anyone with a few brain cells in security and IT would fully expect to have an MDM, at the least, or fully encompassing privileged management system at the most that would govern access based on affiliation or employment with the organization.
