Of course, if you really want a good laugh this morning, just look up what the Jets fans are saying about Sparano as an OC (with assorted comments about possibly acquiring Henne as a backup) and compare it to what they would have said about Sparano 5 months ago. But now they're stuck with him so he's all kinds of awesome-- football fandom in a nutshell.

Well I have to point out it's different with coaches. Cameron sure sticks it up our *** every time we play. Those who think sparano to the jets is a good thing, should remember

Here is to hoping that Sparano somehow convinces Ross that Ireland is needed in NY too :)
 
I think Henne can be a good backup in this league, I wouldn't be opposed as a backup.

So instead of "Bennie and the Jets", it will now be "Henne and the Jets"?
 
Based on the way Henne performed in practice against our secondary, I would be thrilled with this development.

Is it impossible to believe he would legitmately challenge Sanchez (assuming he is 100% healthy from his injury)? Now i dont think he would win the starting job at all because it is Sanchez job to lose and they have 2 much money invested in him to experiment with Henne, but say Sanchez gets off to a rough start and the team is struggling at lets say 3-5, would you consider a switch at any point?
 
I hope he doesn't go to the Jets. Honestly, I don't see why he would want to continue associating with Sparano, when he could compete elsewhere for a starting job.

I think Rex starts to feel the heat next year and a slow start could make him make some different decisions, if we are 3-5 it's likely Mark hasn't progressed so yeah I could see that scenario IF we started 3-5- let's hope that doesn happen:D
 
Henne will only go to the Jets if he has no other offers. Tony and Henning completely ruined him as a pro.

I don't think Sparano likes Henne as his QB very much. Afterall he did bench him in 11 for Pennington. I think he went with him because of the short offseason and leadership role he supposedly took during the strike. I think most here agree Matt Moore us a better QB than Henne, but neither is the answer in Miami.

After some of the laziness revelations and votes of no-confidence as the jest self-implode, who here would actually bet against Henne winning the starting job in a fair camp competition?

They made him look like a competent QB at times, he was never going to be a successful starter in this league.

I had hoped that it'd work for Henne in S Fla. It did not. Henning & Lee are more to blame than Tony IMO. that is the past & its time to move.

Batroc & Jcane are both right. The spin will be priceless & incredibly comedic.
 
Vaark, you have to check out Gang Green this morning. Jets fans are PUMPED for Sparano. I saw multiple posts citing Tony's 'development' of Chad Henne as a positive!

hahahahaha oh man they're either delirious with grief or, more likely, really just that stupid.
