here's something for all the people complaining about his deep ball

I love these threads that try and turn fan against fan for not sharing the same opinions.

If you love Tannehill you're a homer, if you hate him you're a hater.

I read nothing from that article, nor do I see from his tweets during the game that say that CK is trying to be anything more than objective about what he sees. Not pro or against. Just creating a perspective on what is clearly a problem. If it wasn't a problem it wouldn't be an article.

The love/hate/homer/hater thread never gets old. No matter how it's framed.

Always entertaining watching fans flame each other with the value of their fandom. Which is clearly lost by the fact that both sides a big enough fans to be members on a Dolphin message board.

This was an excellent article by CK.

I still want him to eat some Olivier Vernon crow though. It's hot, and it's ready.
I like CK, but he seriously whiffed and said Hartline could never play WR at this level. None of us are right all the time.

What I get is that you don't understand how averages are calculated. By definition, it cannot mean that he struggles "no more and no less than other starting QB's."

I think you're arguing semantics. The average NFL completion % on long passes certainly does suggest that Tannehill's completion % is in line with the league average and does suggest that he is not exceptionally bad. Why try to spin the numbers into something they are not? That's why I wrote what I did, because you responded as though you either didn't read CK's full article or you took the words you were looking for and ignored the part where CK pretty soundly debunked the notion that Ryan Tannehill is bad at throwing long passes.

Seriously, even a basic look at the splits shows that an overwhelming majority of misses are to Mike Wallace. Shouldn't that be enough of a tip off that it's more than Ryan Tannehill just being off going deep?
