Hickey is off to a great start so far

So Mitchell was the top DT available and yet he signed for half of what Soliai got........ right.

Our draft board has not changed at all. Why would you even think that. So far, we have done little of nothing.

For sure, I like what's being done but our draft plan should not change based off today. Not even a little bit

I think if we can get a RT and RB in FA we can then set our sights on a TE in the first round of the draft. I think we can get a starting guard in the 3rd round and possibly another RB in the 2nd.

These moves plus someone like an Ebron, Mason, and Yankey would be a home run draft.

We better get more than just a RT if you want to go TE in round 1. We need 4 new OL and currently only have one. The only way we don't go OL in round 1 is if we sign at least 3 FA OL.

I understand your excited and that's great. There's still a lot of time left and a lot left to prove when the season starts. Remember what happened to WV and his Jeff Ireland is a Boss or Like a Boss ...whatever thread. Wait and see...wait and see...

That's cause that guys pretty much a joke

You know what is funny about all thus positive reaction to Hickey's moves today? If Ireland were still around and made the same moves he would be getting blasted. "Too much for an injury prone old Cornfed!" "Let go of Soliai for Houston no name!?" "delmas?no mas!" And so forth.

Its all a perception thing. Very few of us actually know whether these guys are any good. These moves are really only viewed in a positive light because Hickey is fresh and hasn't worn out his welcome yet. There were plenty of good vibes around during Ireland's first FA period too...

I'll reserve judgement on Hickey until later...

...but I will say Dawn Aponte is kicking ass by getting good deals, and by not overpaying for some of our own free agents (Grimes, Soliai, Starks, Carroll, ect)

You think Soliai is worth 5 years/$33 million to us at age 30? We chose not to overpay like a boss.

LOL.

This was said about last year's Ireland signings...Same group said it was a number 1 class and locals should buy tickets...

Guess how that turned out?

We are still stuck with a bad coach...

No...Ireland wouldn't have made these moves.

If Ireland made moves like this he would have been praised as Hickey has. Instead he didn't and look where it got him.
