Pittsburg drafting ahead of us may take Martin out of the equation anyways. I'd be tempted to go Mosley if that's the case though we may be able to trade back a few spots and still get him plus an extra pick.
My ideal top two picks would be Pryor, Ebron or Moseley at #1, and an OT who could play RT this year, and have the potential to move to LT in a couple of years. I'm still adding at least 2 OL vets on 1 year deals.
Moyok believes Pryor will end up being a SS in the NFL...does that change your opinion?
My draft philosophy has always been BPA for a position of need. However, if there is clearly a BPA value pick there (meaning a true stud) you take him. You also don't over draft for a position of need, which is where Ireland got into trouble. I am not taking a linemen that I have given a second round grade to in round one just because it's a need position and the round one linemen are gone. I would either try and trade back if there wasn't anyone I really liked, or take my top player on my board at the time.
Moseley, Pryor, or Ebron would be hard for me to pass on for any on the OL.
Not to you, truedolfan57i hear people say Oline is deep this year, but are those oline a good scheme fit?
good point. it might be more useful to say "don't draft strictly on need". so many factors are there besides "best player":just remember that when it comes to BPA you have to take system into account
Im with you on Moseley. Pryor is a baller, but I just dont see us taking him.
Don't agree so much with Ebron though. His athleticism is amazing, but the guy just doesn't have good enough hands. I am also a big Clay fan.
I still want OL early and often.
