The Dolphins have been marred in mediocrity for so long that it almost seems impossible they will ever escape the cycle of average football. It is my belief that in order to truly move forward and rebuild a once great franchise a team needs to hit rock bottom. I though they did that several years ago when they went 1-15, but apparently that was not the case. Whatever side you are on in this latest “issue” it could be what is needed to finally move this franchise forward. Hitting rock bottom truly allows for the opportunity to begin anew.
Like most I am not happy about the situation as it takes away from the product on the field and there was something to be excited about. A young, talented QB developing, excellent defensive line play, and playmakers on defense, but this topic will consume us for the foreseeable future. My hope is that Ross recognizes this and seizes the opportunity to completely rid this team of personnel that is left over from the Parcells era and remake the franchise. Unfortunately people like Philbin may be a may be a casualty in this, but it may be the only way to restore our beloved Dolphins to prominence
