Hoops scoops...fins chargers

Im just curious, hooshoops.... I like the analysis on the game but what's with the run-on sentences and lack of proper punctuation?

I'm american

Nah the truth of it is I work in insurance...we key in very direct notes all the time I haven't written a full proper sentence since I graduated college...and I'm not gonna start now...

Easy Hartline haters....

He played poorly today. He really did and he tweeted that he was disappointed with himself but ultimately pleased they got the W.

1. Hartline runs very solid routes. It isn't always about speed but rather change of speeds and Hartline certainly does that very well.
2. Always makes those toe drags on the sidelines.
3. Underrated at getting yards after the catch. Even if it is small chunks he gets some extra mileage spinning off or diving forward.

I like our WRs a lot. Gibson, Matthews, and even Binns are good core for next season. Still wish Dolphins had Marshall over Wallace.

I will go along with that I don't hate hartline he carried our wr core last year...I just think we could do more at our 2nd wr...and he was very bad the first 3 quarters today

But he's absolutely the bait wr of the core...

That makes sense..... What do you think about Brenner starting at RG for Jerry when Pouncey is back?

I think he's light for the position...right now at Least...especially against the panthers next week...they better cone up with some wrinkles cause that team folks is on a mission...I think they will overtake the saints with that d...

Hartline is honestly so low on the "worry list", that if he is all we have to talk about after a win, we need to check ourselves. You guy's are making him out to be a terrible wideout and completely expendable. Which is not the case at all, I recall way more times than not, him coming up with a clutch catch keeping the drive alive with outstanding concentration and body control as opposed to him dropping a clutch catch and sealing our fate. He had a poor game, oh well so has every other player in this league. I doubt anyone has delusions of him being a deep threat or a yac monster, we all know what he is and we were perfectly comfortable with it prior to today. He is a great asset and safety blanket for our young QB.

That said I completely agree on motioning Wallace, and Love how Matthews in coming along. That kid is a fighter.

It's very interesting that you guys mentioned Pouncey tipping the D off, I haven't noticed anything but haven't looked too hard. But the fact that this line held up rather well gives credence to that theory immediately in my mind. I actually like the idea of moving him to LG, and letting Garner fill in at C. Our coaches have to move some pieces around, they never ever do and it has cost us on more that one occasion.

To the OP, we should start a petition for a Fire Sherman banner to be flown. Dude is half a notch above Henning.

We still gave up 4 sacks which is what we give up every week on average, why are people acting like we were so much improved in that area today?

I'm tired of talking QB, so I'd like your input on this:

I've seen other posters who I think are very knowledgeable opine that Mike Pouncey gives away the snap by moving his head right before he snaps the ball. I noticed Nate Garner did not do that today, and not only were the Chargers caught jumping offsides several times, but they also weren't really getting a great jump on the ball. Do you think there's anything to that, or was that simply a case of San Diego's front being that bad?

And yes, Hartline was flat out bad for most of the day. Meanwhile, Mike Wallace turned in a pretty good game. If only these guys could all turn in a good game on the same day...

Mike Wallace "pretty good game"=4 catches 39 yds. Brian Hartline "flat out bad"=5 catches 65 yds. SMH

Mike Wallace "pretty good game"=4 catches 39 yds. Brian Hartline "flat out bad"=5 catches 65 yds. SMH

Two dropped passes and a fumble (that was luckily overturned)....the argument isn't that Hartline sucks (he doesn't), but he is limited in what he can do...

Just once i want to see wallace highpoint a ball. It goes without saying that tannehill needs to hit that throw, but just once id like tonsee wallace redirect and fight for a jumpball.

Anything else for me today would be nitpicking, and im just gonna enjoy this win.

Here's why DB's give Hartline a cushion. He has a great double-move ... and the ribbing they take in their own locker room after getting beat deep by Hartline must be brutal ... probably bordering on bullying.

As for scheduling, there are 6 games to go, Patriots twice, Jets twice, Steelers and Panthers. Assuming we split the division games that's still 7-7 meaning we'd have to beat both the Steelers and Panthers to go 9-7 and have a realistic shot at a wild card spot. There are too many 4-5 teams to realistically hope to make the playoffs with a poor 8-8 record. It goes without saying, but we need to sweep the Jets (not something we tend to do) and beat both the Steelers and Panthers. Time for a winning streak or time to start watching those OL for next year's draft.

The coaching staff has dug its own mass grave. No question in my mind that if they would actually be proactive on some of this stuff rather than insisting that they know what they're doing (and then finally making adjustments six weeks later, this team would be enjoying a little more success.

Matthews is impressing me....good size, plays big and tough...I think more game experience is going to do wonders for his consistency...it is a shame Hartline got the contract he did....I almost feel like it was because he was the WR that Tannehill had the best rapport with.

Matthews is also a good kid. He was on the local pre game, very humble, respectful, and well spoken. I did not know that his Dad is a Marine Sgt. drill instructor. That'll do it.

I can't find it anymore, but right after we drafted him, Ted Slimm posted video of Matthews' combine performance. He was laying himself out for uncatchable footballs; most guys aren't going to do that, they're just trying not to get hurt.

Some guys just want it more.
