hoops scoops...jeff ireland pack your bags...

wtf are you talking about...tannehilll is not the issue here you dopes...the god damn protection and your defense letting the bucs pee wee o go down the field fo 6 is the issue...did you see that pass pro on the last drive???

i like how you want to buck up now but when i call you out and tell you to tell me whats the issue you go ghost...

"Tannehill is a bust because...umm...um.. ah hell screw it. I'll just give him a thumbs down and scurry away."

:chuckle:

we are all frustrated with the state of things right now...while i completely disagree with wv and strangeworld among others assessments of ryan tannehill as a qb i apologize for my alcohol induced language towards them...

Why?

I only have 2 issues with tannehill from this game. after the Jimmy Wilson pick, he had room.to run on 2nd and goal but forced a pass to hartline I believe it was. and he had Wallace deep easy TD but he threw it out of bounds. otherwise good game from tannehill. the defense and running game let us down

the qb wasn't bad he missed the one vertical op we took and that was the play where if you wanted to bang him for placing that ball too far outside i don't blame you...that is a missed 6 point op by your qb...other than that he balled out today...those 2 tds were nice work down the field...again with zero run game and a straight hold your breath pass pro anytime it's a one on one op...

Tannehill needs more time. But, he missed a lot more than that one ball.. The last play of game was UNDERTHROWN as usual. Had Clay on a 3rd down and threw it in the ground. Has Hartline on a comeback with a clean pocket and threw it too early and nowhere near him. On 2nd down and goal from the ten he easily could have run it to the 2or 3 and maybe even score and he forced a throw to Hartline
He predetermines every single throw. He loves to throw it for 3 yards on 3rd and 8, on the last drive 3rd and 28 he tried to dump it to Matthews for 2 yards with a clean pocket.
I understand wanting to give him time with an Oline worth a crap, and a 60 million dollar wr that doesn't drop everything. but, lets be real Tannehill has a LONG way to go.

Give him more time. It always takes most of them extra time.

I saw one guy earlier talk about 3 more years..... :rotfl1: Three more years of this dog**** at QB? No thanks.

What do you expect with a crappy oline? When tannehill has time to scan the field he gets ithe job done. How are the falcons and future hall of famer matt ryan doing?

there aren't many plays in the playbook on 3rd and 28 that are go to...especially considering he had just gotten avalanched the prior 2 snaps on a collapsing pocket from the jump...you try to gain some of it back vs force a ball...we were done when it got to that point anyways...

yeah on the non run on 2nd and goal i get that but i also think that ball went right off hartlines body trying to body catch it as he does on just about everything thrown quick to the inside...

i don't understand why we were chasing points in the 3rd quarter either...going for two there made no sense...you don't chase points at that stage of the game...

anyways look at that 3rd down defensive call on one of those fg drives ...the bucs bailed out on the back end and dropped a bunch of guys tanny made the right call to take what was given underneath the coverage to the inside and if they rally and tackle you kick the fg...i mean yeah that defense is designed for you to throw it underneath and they rally to the ball on that play but you also would be roasting the kid if he took points off the board forcing the ball down the field into coverage...and don't act like you wouldn't be

We run the ball for two (2) yards, STILL manage to create enough offense to come within three (3) points, and are in a position to WIN the game with a 4th quarter drive, our line gets DESTROYED TWO (2!) times in a row to force a 3rd & TWENTY EIGHT (28), and the anti-tanne crew (flip flop crew), decides to come out and group him in with the blame for this?

Sorry guys I am not sippin any Kool-Aid here, but this is not a game to stockpile in your ammunition locker. Get a GRIP. He's in (for at least 1 more year), Fireland's gone, Sherman, and Philbin is too. THAT's A WRAP.

EDIT: I Nearly threw my phone on the two play calls made from our own endzone, A FB HANDOFF? REALLY? Followed by ANOTHER run. I THOUGHT WE RAN A QUICK SLANT/ QUICK OUT WEST COAST OFFENSE?? WHAT R WE DOING HERE?

sorry needed to vent after that loss

Was at the game. Upper deck at the 50. The one rollout where Tannehill hit the underneath WR for a first down, he had Simms running down the seam about 10 yards behind closest defender.

But Tannehill looked pretty good. Ireland and the coaching staff need to go. Our O-line is notoriously bad, but our skill position players aren't much better. Our RAC is pathetic. Tannehill is hitting guys in the open field, and they NEVER get more than a few yards after the catch. Can't have that in the NFL. The team looked unmotivated. When this BS went down, I said that it would make us or break us. Clearly, it didn't make us.

Chambers threw out a name I'd look into: Darrell Bevell. Bring in Bevell as a package deal with someone from the Seattle FO - Scott Fitterer is an interesting option (head of college scouting).

Yes that was a stupid call, just play football quit micromanaging the score, Guden and tirico agreed with it but I just didn't see the need , those failed 2 point conversions can change the sway of the game like a missed field goal do. I was going through the scoring possibilities in the 4th quarter and the missed point could have bit us in the ass, in the end it didn't matter but still a stupid call.
