hoops scoops...jeff ireland pack your bags...

well this season is over. we need to find a gm and coach who wanna build around tannehill. not sure bout gruden, would you keep philbin hoops? sorry I didn't read the whole thread if you answered already

We run the ball for two (2) yards, STILL manage to create enough offense to come within three (3) points, and are in a position to WIN the game with a 4th quarter drive, our line gets DESTROYED TWO (2!) times in a row to force a 3rd & TWENTY EIGHT (28), and the anti-tanne crew (flip flop crew), decides to come out and group him in with the blame for this?

Sorry guys I am not sippin any Kool-Aid here, but this is not a game to stockpile in your ammunition locker. Get a GRIP. He's in (for at least 1 more year), Fireland's gone, Sherman, and Philbin is too. THAT's A WRAP.

EDIT: I Nearly threw my phone on the two play calls made from our own endzone, A FB HANDOFF? REALLY? Followed by ANOTHER run. I THOUGHT WE RAN A QUICK SLANT/ QUICK OUT WEST COAST OFFENSE?? WHAT R WE DOING HERE?

sorry needed to vent after that loss

Yep. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too early to give up on Ryan Tannehill. I even think it's too early to give up on Mike Wallace, too. But it's not too early to give up on Jeff Ireland, Daniel Thomas, and this cruddy OL.

I still don't understand how people don't think Tannehill is the answer at QB. I mean it truly amazes me after the awful QB's we have had since Marino left. Tannehill is by FAR the best we have had and he is only going to get better.

Everyone that is hating on him will eat their words. Dude has awful Oline that always ****s up in crunch time. Awful coaching staff its unreal

People hating on Tannehill would have ran Drew Brees out of San Diego after his first 3 years lol. It takes time and Tannehill has shown signs that he can be legit. Yea he does have some stuff to work on such as the deep ball. Once the online is fixed in the off-season by a new GM you will see Tannehill continue to grow into the QB this franchise has been looking for.

Get rid of everyone and yes, start once again. Ireland should have never been the GM to start with and for sure they needed to fired him when they fired Sparano.

Ozzy rules!!

Was at the game. Upper deck at the 50. The one rollout where Tannehill hit the underneath WR for a first down, he had Simms running down the seam about 10 yards behind closest defender.

But Tannehill looked pretty good. Ireland and the coaching staff need to go. Our O-line is notoriously bad, but our skill position players aren't much better. Our RAC is pathetic. Tannehill is hitting guys in the open field, and they NEVER get more than a few yards after the catch. Can't have that in the NFL. The team looked unmotivated. When this BS went down, I said that it would make us or break us. Clearly, it didn't make us.

Chambers threw out a name I'd look into: Darrell Bevell. Bring in Bevell as a package deal with someone from the Seattle FO - Scott Fitterer is an interesting option (head of college scouting).

interesting observations...on the sims play my question would be where is he on the progression on the play??? and considering how little a seam threat or threat in the passing game period sims has been i bet its way down it...

bevell is someone i would like also said so mid last week in that thread but i think you end up changing the o on this qb to more power and pa based and i just dont know if over the long haul with this qb if it may set him back or be better to work towards full out no huddle with how well he makes presnap at the los reads...

i would give philbin 2014...ross backed him pretty well in those interviews yesterday...ireland and the oline coach i'd fire...seargent slaughter can go back to boot camp...

sherman is a tough call while this qb is developing

It just seems as if everyone on this team from the Coaches to the players constantly get it wrong. We always seem to do te wrong thing in important situations

Last night tannehill was not nearly the problem, not in the slightest. He has to improve the deep ball, but I thought he was fine for the rest.

The adjustment period could be difficult, but I think that system better fits his abilities, and I think that type of offense has more staying power in the NFL. Puts your D in better situations. Doesn't put the game completely on the QB's shoulders. I think Tannehill can be a good QB in the NFL. I don't think many QB's would look good in his current situation.

Also, I know we need all kinds of line help, but C. J. Mosley is toward the top of my wishlist. Draft Mosley, slide Ellerbe over to WOLB, and tell Wheeler to hit the bricks.

Man, I'll admit I thought Philbin and staff was the answer. I was wrong. They all need to go. But really for me this post is all about Tannehill and his development (or lack thereof). As Vaark mentioned in a previous post, how in the hell can we honestly expect greatness from Ryan Tannehill when his QB coach is Zac Taylor?!?! What in the hell has this guy done (besides screw Sherman's daughter) to be qualified to be a QB coach at his level. All Taylor knows about playing QB is running a wishbone and option run offense. What can this guy legitimately teach Ryan Tannehill? Anyone?

Cripes...to be honest, Tannehill is probably doing extremely well considering he is getting no good coaching / fooball knowledge from his QB coach. I consider what Tannheill is doing in games is DESPITE having Zac Taylor coach him.

If Ryan had a real QB coach to mentor and coach him....

we are trying or want to run like a brady o with the pats but the pats pass pro has been an entirely different level thru the years than what tannehill has received...bradys the man but if he played behind this oline we would have many of the same issues...just in an older qb with less shelf life

i like the offensive concept and the options it gives us but i don't like the personnel especially up front to execute it

we gonna eat a ton of money on wheeler if we do...his cap hit this year was like all the rest of these guys low but we pay the damn piper in 2014...anyways if they go the route of mosley i can get down with it...we need some instincts something fierce in the unit...by the way mosley may well be a wolb best fit in the pros anyways...
