hoops scoops...potential #19 pick ot cyrus kouandjio

I don't know how a big RT with an arthritic knee would fit in our zone blocking scheme. I also don't see any sense in taking a guy that's suppose to be a 2nd rounder(james). I just hope these are stupid rumors, other wise I'll just wait till Hickey and Philbin are gone and we start over again.

How would you feel if we took XSF in round 1 and James in round 2? What about XSF in round 1 and Mewhort in round 3?

Good job, yet again. You mention James, who I know nothing about. The only place anywhere I have seen him graded as a first rounder is by the Dolphins. Justified or a reach/mistake?

First rounds a little rich for me...I think he's more ideally suited for the left side than the right as a pro even though he played right tackle at Tennessee...game looks more geared to left...I see a similar player and path to Anthony Collins...finesse in the run game ot but very solid in pass pro..also I think he's one of the guys that could play for you from the jump because of how sound he is in pass protection

If James is a guy that can play right away and help the football team, then there is no reason to draft him at 19…plus if he is that good (which I agree with) there is no way he is there at 50.

I think you meant to say there is no reason not to daft him at 19.

Mewhort is the guy I have us taking in Round 3. I like what I have seen of him on film.

If you pass on OT with your first pick just watch for the run on the position in late round 1 and early 2...just have to watch the board...I would say the runs coming before pick 50...may have to make a slight move up...may not

Shouldn't be hard to figure out who in front of you is looking at them...

I didn't think he was that bad. Did you watch last years or 2012 also?

Draft day can twist and turn in any number of ways. However, at this point with the way things look, I am somewhat skeptical of getting a starting RT in the first two rounds. A trade changes thing but, at what cost?

Hoops, due to his injury, where do you see Brandon Thomas going? Do you think he would be a good fit for us if we can get him later in the draft?

he's pretty much a guard to me don't like the tackle talk there...before the injury there was some round 2 worst case talk...that was a little rich for me but top 75 i could get down with that...now i'm hearing 4th roundish...might see some contender who has a bunch of picks or a high compensatory pick take him who can stash him and wait on him...not gonna help anyone in 2014...3rd round very late possibly to a contender worst case 5th round i'd say...

for miami given the not gonna help anyone i'd probably say 5th round makes sense...before that in this class i want guys that can help me now

right now off what i know if zach martin gets to me i'm turning in the card at #19 it's unlikely now though...after that if cj mosley gets to me and his medical is a go i'm turning in that card at 19...otherwise i'm looking to trade out...later into round 1...mid 20ish...25-28 range try and collect at least a 3rd rounder in the process maybe more

Thanks for the write up on Cyrus, sounds a bit scary. Hope a don't go after him at 19. I want so badley for Martin to be the pick. Elite guard is fine by me or possibly capable RT, gotta like the versatility options. Mosley wouldn't be bad if the injury concerns aren't bad..
But I don't want him if it means losing instant OL help
