Hoops scoops…this front office and qb got to go!

That poster nailed you and you have the unmitigated "ignorance" to try and swap the actual word meanings with your own crap!

You LOSE! - LOL
Ray, I love you man but I wasn't nailed on anything brother. Maybe it was because I was in the military, maybe it is because I come from a different generation but I look at this guy and think he couldn't lead me to anything, he sure as Hell would not inspire me to go out and grind for 60 min. in a brutal sport.

I gave many reasons why I think McDaniel fits a certain profile and got nothing refuting that really, as for losing, is anyone really winning? Lol

“Guess who’s back…back again…guess who’s back…tell a friend”

Someone needs to come in here and tell it like it is…and well I’m just that person. As usual if you don’t like it I don’t care.

This franchise now has the longest non playoff win drought in the nfl. Who has been in the building for the duration of that drought I ask you? Why none other than chris me and my brother should probably switch sports Grier.

All he’s done since he became the gm is pass accountability to others. Hemorrhage money on bad contracts and fail in the draft to maximize the return pick asset wise on a yearly basis in the draft.

Now we are stuck with the worst qb contract in football and don’t kid yourself it’s the worst on a guy who may well down the road die even on the field. Instead of forcing Tua to play on tbat 5th year option we gave top money to a qb who while a great person and heck I’d even be proud to have him marry my daughter even which speaks to his character is now has finished 2 of his first 4 years out for the season and likely will finish his 5th year the same way. In addition this qb has fenced twice already on the field and has his head bounce off the turf on a pretty much weekly basis in some form or another. Weight gain weight loss fat as a deer tick tua or weight watchers tua it doesn’t matter. This same qb is now 1- whatever vs the bills and we as a team are now 1-12 in our last 13 vs the bills. We aren’t competition for Buffalo or rivals we are camp fodder like the 3 qbs we have in the building now behind tua. We are buffalos bitch!!!

And now you want to make me watch skylar Thompson butcher the position? Why not just take a hot poker to my eyes instead. Tyler Huntley, Tim Boyle? 🤮

In addition this qb tua has played sub standard ball and replace me level ball even down the stretch in each of the seasons he actually has finished. That int into 2 deep coverage vs Buffalo where the safety post snap had the leverage and the route was into the leverage week 18 with everything on the line by tua was more matt moore than franchise qb stuff. It was one of the worst pre to post snap decisions ive ever seen and I broke down qb tape for years.

Miami has no Josh Allen offset I screamed for years about the need for it especially when this qb tua isn’t in an offense that features qb process and is basically very qb friendly but not much qb freedom which is what McDaniel has brought to Miami.

Miami needs to pray that Tua is cleared and retired cause otherwise this contracr will be an albatross for the next half decade with this team and stuck with a qb and offensive system that to this day I still can’t say what level processer he is which was suppose to carry him in the pros. I’ll say the sniffs I have gotten haven’t lead me to believe he should have more on his plate. Given that he’s a system qb in a system that many qbs could run. Just minus the athletic ability that many qbs possess to make teams have to prepare for 2 way threat qbs.

Im sorry Tua but do the team a favor and retire. Take your $47 mil and walk. You weee never getting us over the hump with Josh Allen anyways. The juice isn’t worth the squeeze any more.

Back to the gm. Do I really want to to give this clown another bite at the qb draft apple? Yikes.

Let’s see. Raekwon Davis non existent 2nd round pick gone under your watch. Traded Laremy Tunsil for a slew of picks in a move to get in position for a qb that qb thing has failed. Yeah sure the numbers are there but this teams record vs playoff caliber teams is a joke and shows how much of a pretender we are. They are largely empty numbers.

Liam eichenberg stinks anywhere you put him 2nd round pick fail. Should have cut that years ago instead we start him. Belongs in the ufl.

Tagged Mike gesicki and his 1 catch for 8 yard average paying him north of $10 mil that year when anyone with an ounce of clue knew that we should have let him walk. Addition by subtraction. 2nd round pick fail.

Drafted a position less player in round 3 in the I guess lb Channing tindall. Dudes not even active in year 3 fail. And these are just off the top of my head.

This gms record on day 2 of the draft is a joke. The round one record is not maximizing return either. Yeah we traded out from 3 to 6 and then 12 and everyone tbinks we cleaned house. Well guess out you missed out on better players everywhere along the way. The best draft in maybe my entire scouting career and while you did good you could have done better. That draft has hall of famers written all over it already.

Let’s talk about extending guys when we didn’t need to. Mcd falls in on this too I’m sure. Kicker extension a year early. Fullback who was out of the league the year prior ingold pulls down 3 and 17 mil for what when we control him at least another year. All of these while we controlled them another year or more.

Making Ramsey the highest paid corner when you still control him. Making reek and his off the field never ending concerns a highest paid wr when you control him.

This interior oline which is probably the worst unit in the entire league. A 290 lb center that is owed 5 mil next year regardless if he’s here or not. Sure mcds scheme helps the oline and your banking on it with your smug comments about everyone is worried about the oline but us well how’d that look to you when Buffalo went into a 2 deep shell and you couldn’t run the damn ball situationally despite it? Why? Cause your interior oline sucks.

Get used to it cause one thing I know is this is a copy cat league and they know your interior oline blows. Gonna see a lot of coverage over your 2 Smurf WRs coming. With no offset to be found other than achane who at 188 lbs is being used like Adrian Peterson or something by this dumb head coach.

Speaking of the head coach burns timeouts like my grandpa burns cigarettes. Must be taking hits off his vape when it’s time to get plays in. Wanted Jonnu smith and obj like those 2 clown adds would get this team over the Buffalo bump. Jonnu has always been system based production and obj cares more about his instagram than football these days and will complain to no end if and when he does come back when he isn’t being fed the ball when he’s the backside progression in an offense that doesn’t ask the qb to get to the backside very often. An offense where 80 percent of the primary’s are open by design. Another reason 14 ints by the qb is way way too many. But I digress. This same head coach saved waddle from the week 18 must win home game for the kc playoff where the qb couldn’t execute lateral throws behind the los in those elements let alone anytbing down the damn field. Duke Riley in that game avoided even 2 hand touch and yet he’s still on this roster. Embarrassing. Wonder if you wore them capri pants to that one?

Let’s talk about this last draft if that didn’t scream to you I’m safe as a gm and head coach nothing does. First 2 day picks on projects and a trade for a 4th rb lol. Job well done Grier. Your 2nd round pick Paul has the redirect and short area quickness of an aircraft carrier he already looks more destined to be kicked inside to left guard down the road than to even make it as the active swing 3rd tackle. Fail. Don’t know why I’m surprised these dudes can’t evaluate oline play if their lives depended on it.

We got the smallest skill group in the league smallest catch radius in the league 3rd and 4th WRs feature Robbie I would t choose you in flag chosen alright and berrios who has zero value as a wr option.

This team has failed to get what it needs for the last 2 years more than anything with this size skill a true flex difference maker at the tight end spot. And sure enough when exactly what we need comes along to pair with all this Smurf skill in Brock bowers and he gets out of the top 10 this clown gm is sitting on his hands and clueless. Same for the head coach who should never wear them gold glasses on the sideline again. Go back to the nerd look you will be a vaping oc career guy at the rate you are going in no time.

Which leads me to the owner the corpse who allows these things to continuously happen. To have his money continuously hemorrhaged over and over on bad contracts and bad draft picks and asset and personnel mismanagement. I feel bad for ya Ross but you are being fed a bunch of bs by these folks you appointed. Hold someone accountable step up and force change. Come out and say win or else I don’t care about attrition or any of that you guys built it and you will walk the plank of it doesn’t win. Period. But no I’m fully convinced this front office as a whole is content with being a fringe playoff team and never winning anything if they don’t win the division and get home playoff games. It’s our only chance under this style offense and qb combo and head coach combo. How else can you allow this gm and head coach to come on end of year after yet another fall off the table season and raping at kc no less and drop a smug presser and laughing and joking about it like they don’t have a care in the world.

Do better Ross. Or pass away and let someone else try.

Hoops out ✌️
Sometimes you bother me and I disagree this is NOT one of those times, Nailed it brother!!

Great post! Ross, Grier and McDaniel have certainly put this franchise in a bind, will be interesting to see how they (if they) are able to crawl out.

You somehow have inner knowledge of the workings of each player's hearts and minds that they like McDaniel but don't respect him? Or are you projecting your opinion onto the players?

I'm not the one calling him soft and no evidence of softness has veen provided. Nit even pants.

Why do I think he is not soft? The players are engaged, give effort, he appears to be trying to get the best from each player.

As for your word salad comment, the idea of him leading men was brought up, then on the next reply changed it from leading men to driving men. They are 2 different things.
What is your evidence they give him respect? They play hard? What when they are not coming to the sideline gasping for air from soft practices? They are on the sideline because maybe they don't give a ****? They are pissed off because of the play calling? I guess it is one of those or this coach is an idiot for not keeping his best players out there. How has his load management program worked? That's right players still hit the IR with regularity last year and this year is heating up with Mostert banged up, Tua out, we will see with Jones and Armstead this week.

Trust me I know the difference between Leading people everyday, and driving them to do their best is part of leading. I can be hard on people but treat them well when the objectives are met and would do anything for them.

No big deal, we will see how this plays out now that he has to change course, we will see if his way can keep this team together, just opinions on a message board, I apologize as "word salad" might not have been the best reference, I have been fighting a lack of sleep and get a little off on my thoughts and wording, we are all fans and I just don't see a good ending here.

I like mike in the sense he seems like a good dude and has a sense of humor. And while I initially found his press conferences amusing. He kind of drives me crazy or my patience wearing away. It's so hard to listen to his damn interviews or speeches now as he speaks so damn drawn out and slowly. Something that shouldn't take so long to get to the point, seems to talk a damn half hour for him to get to the point.
His personality is quirky and whimsical when winning. When losing it's annoying and boring.

There are several issues with the team, that still remain and the most likely reasons the team has struggled over the last 7 games, dating back to the last 5 games of the 2023 season.

1) The Offensive Line. It remains the biggest failure under the current regime. They've continually ignored the poor construction of the offensive line. Even more importantly, they've ignored it, all the while, having a concussion prone QB behind center. The scheme covers some of the issues, but looks like the main reason, Miami has done so poorly, inspite of it's early success in 2023.

2) The injury issues with Tua. Paying a player with this type of injury history and placing all your eggs in his basket, isn't smart. Not only does it potentially threaten games, as well as, a season, but it threatens the players long term well being, and perhaps life. I love Tua, but was never comfortable with his injury situation, as it's reared it's ugly head once again.

3) The continuous signings of injury prone players as Free Agents. This has been a real problem for Grier. He's infatuated with taking chances on players who can't remain healthy enough to make long term contributions to the team, on the field. Doing this has now helped ballon the cap situation. And this doesn't include Tua.

4) The lack of physicality and heart by the players, has been another reason they've been unable to win games against playoff caliber teams or win on the road with consistency. The scheme, while fun to watch, isn't getting the job done against seasoned DC's. That's got to change. Perhaps a more physical, ground and pound offense to help protect your QB and beat up your opponent and will yourself to win.

5) The Offensive Line once again. Fix the damn issue for once. Look what Harbaugh has done in Los Angeles in his first few games as HC. He fixed issues along the Chargers Oline a team that looks like a playoff team, early. Look at Tampa. For Christ Sakes fix the Offensive Line, Goddammit.

I have one serious question for you.
When and where did you go to bootcamp?

I went to bootcamp at MCRD San Diego in the summer and fall of 1965.

About 6 months later I read an article in the San Diego newspaper about an internal military report concerning a fundamental difference between the physical preparedness of recruits from San Diego and recruits from Parris Island when they arrived in Viet Nam.

This could be the cause of some of your attitudes, if you went thru boot camp at Parris Island.

Since 2007 with Cam Cameron, Grier has either “graded the groceries” as Director of Scouting or “picked the groceries” as General Manager.

There’ll be plenty of discussion whether 2024 validates or sinks Grier in months ahead so I’ll leave that there.

On the coaching front, living or dying by the long ball isn’t going to work against good defensive teams or in playoff weather so McD is trying to commit to the run and involve backs/TEs in the short passing game.

I actually appreciate the offensive scheme that McD has been calling but he doesn’t have the Oline or TEs to make it work.

Peace brother, we're all frustrated and upset with how this is going. I hope they turn things around.

A lot of guys here don’t like this post or this thread for that matter…..But that doesn’t make you wrong. In fact, I agree with everything you wrote.

His personality is quirky and whimsical when winning. When losing it's annoying and boring.
I seriously feel like Billy madison in this scene, whenever Mike just sputters things out in his round about slow manner, taking forever to answer the question. I feel like yelling "ttttoday junior!" to mike. lol

Hysterical 🤣

It is all on the "genius-guru-savant" in McD. Time to show how adaptive you can be to the adversity that has been placed before you coach. This team is built to win even without Tua.
