think the Aint's fans will be back soon to tell us that Ricky can't break a run over 20yds? or that he's doomed to avg 4ypc? or that he can't score TDs? or that he fumbles too much?

FYI... RW had a run over 40 w/ the saints. We know what he's capable of.

At least this saves us from the Saints dorks for a week :)

Yes... and it was against the TB Defense.

Hmmmm, let's see. 111 yards against detroit's D (do they even have a D?:) ), or 109 against TB's D (one of the best run D's in the league).

Not taking anything away from RW as he had a great game. But Deuce's performance against a much stingier D was better IMO. Just food for thought.

"Ricky can't break a long one...26 yards blah blah blah. They can STFU now, he's da man in Miami!"

Deuce McAllister didn't have a carry over 14 yards today. He didn't have any TDs either. So far, Dolphins 1, Saints 0.

On a side note, it's just sad that Tampa's offense sucks that bad. I feel for Tampa fans. It doesn't matter who they have on there team, Sapp, Keyshawn, GRUDEN. They talk the talk, but can't walk the walk.

you just knew he had to break a long one..It's great he did it in the 1st game...111 yards rushing in 3 qtrs..What a start..when was the last time we had someone have that many yards in 3 qtrs..whew..

That would be true... except for the fact that Ricky was on the bench from about midway through the 3rd quarter on... If we had left him it, it likely would have been about 180 yards for him, as he was seeming to get stronger as the game wore on. But, we showed a little mercy for the Dolphins with the game in hand... and rotated in Travis Minor and Robert Edwards for the rest of the game so we could see what we had in both of them.

Plus Detroit has a good D-line. Robert Porcher, Shaun Rogers, and Luther Ellis are all solid players. Their D-line is nowhere near Tampa's, but its not bad.

morris had a 5.1 yard avg, csonka had a 4.5 and kiick had a 3.7, so 2 was big news!;)

Could say the same to you. Ricky was pulled out of the game in the 3rd quarter. He easily could have rolled up a lot more yards in the 4th quarter. Also Detroit's strength is the run defense (ranked 1st in the preseason).

We will see how it goes as the season carries on :)

Nope......big difference between TBs D and Detroits D. Ricky ran for 26yrds vs. TB last year.

Detroit's D gave up 125yrds/game on the ground last year....i would hardly call that a strength.

Yes, but why are you on a Dolphin message board trying to defend the trade if you feel so good about it? That is a rhetorical question. I already know the answer. You guys are scared you got the short end of the stick. Relax, this was a trade that was good for both teams and the player involved. It is too sad that it left so many Saint fans feeling empty. Congrats on the win. Now go back to your board.
