How Many Losses Before it all Goes South.........

Wow...really Nubs? With the quarterbacks on this roster and their prior play? You and I have a far different definition of "realistic", didn't you really mean "Idealistic"?

This is a good team, don't late your hate cloud your mind. They have a top 6 defense, new offensive scheme, revamped rushing attack, one of the leagues best receivers group, and a solid offensive line. They are better on paper today than they were in 2010. They won 7 games last year, and there is no reason to think this team can't add 2-3 wins to that total.

The Dolphins won 7 games last season and were in the playoff hunt before falling apart in December and losing their last three games. They have proven they can compete with the league's best. They beat the Super Bowl Champion Packers in Green Bay. Lost 23-22 to the AFC Champion Steelers due to a blown call by the refs. If they call that game correctly, Dolphins win 22-20. They beat the AFC Champion runners up(prevented them from scoring a touchdown) in New York.

Is this team going to win the Super? Highly likely. Is this a potential playoff team? Absolutely! I think a 9-7 or 10-6 record even with Henne as QB is very realistic.

This will likely be a playoff team, so things won't be going south.

This is laughable and we are not a playoff team. I am willing to bet anyone on this forum any reasonable amount of money that this team will not make the playoffs.

Very real posibility. Things could snowball in a bad way after that.

There will not be any midseason firings. Even if we didn't replace Henne, nearly 100% of this offseason has revolved around improving our offense. I'm pumped to see a year without Henning.

I agree with Nubs, this team is very close to being a playoff team and I think they will make the playoffs this season. To much talent for them to have a 4-5 win season most seem to think.

This team is closer to an 0-5 start then the playoffs.

the greatest improvements to our team has been the additions by subtraction. Gone.. henning, his fossilized offense and ill timed play called easily cost us 3 games last year. Gone are ricky and ronnie, both either on the wrong side of 30 or close to it, one was always injured and rarely produced at a level befitting of his draft position, and the other was a guy who was just playing for money, holding up the progress of younger guys behind him. Our defense returns with improvements, (are you kidding me, no more mighty mouth?) and we inject speed once again into the offense and we are easily in playoff contention.

A lot depends on the how why they get there you know how crazy an NFL season gets. Going into this I'm thinking a 2-2 or better start gives just enough hope going foward. 1-3 or worse and it's here we go again. Of course they can rally back and make the playoffs from 1-3 but I think it would more than likely confirm the worst. It's already walking like a duck a start like that would be quacking.

I don't know about this team playing hard no matter the circumstances. Look how poorly they played last year before playoff hopes were gone.

0-5 and Nolan could be the coach.

If Miami starts out 0-5, or even loses 4 of the 5.... firing Sparano and promoting Nolan is the worst thing that could happen.

You keep Sparano on the sidelines until he fistpumps you right into a top 5 pick to land your franchise quarterback.....

....then boot his a**...

Picking a few games out to help your agenda is garbage. They also lost to the Bills, Browns, and Lions at home with the playoffs on the line. We were crushed by the Pats with our so called head coach, who people here call a great motivator, and players coach's job on the line. They tried to replace him and failed, and looked like fools. They tried to replace the qb, and failed again. Believe what you want, but this team has one foot in the gutter and the other on a bananna peel. They come out struggling, and this season could get ugly real quick. I hope not. I would like to see this team turn the corner, but i wouldn't count on it. Reality !!!

Looking at the schedule, we've got home games with the Patriots and an up and coming Texan team, if we drop both of those we're looking at Cleveland, Chargers & Jets on the Road.

If we lose 4 out of those 5, this team is toast and the New Coach/Andrew Luck watch is on.

Daboll will win us that Cleveland game alone, he knows their personnel quite well. I also think we win the Texans and Jets game. We will be 3-2 after 5 I believe.
