How Many Wins in 2013 was Ryan Tannehill Responsible for?

I think Tannehill is a mediocre QB at this point in his career. There are major problems when it comes to instincts and awareness in his game.

Are you on crack? He had the same number of turnovers in 2011 as 2012 and MORE INTs in 2009.

Because he was the majority of the offense. If you look at % of offense between rushing yards and passing yards or by rush plays or pass plays, it is obvious.

he turned it over at least once in 12 games, same # as Ryan last year and his 26 INts in 2011 came w/ 32 total TDs which is higher than Ryan's highest total of 25.

so if he was most of the O shouldn't he get most of the blame for the failures? they put the O in his hands and it cost them.

Well....so...Alex Smith pretty much wasnt responsible for any of KC's wins?
This is heavily weighted toward air yards per attempt, as a means of extracting from the QB's play what only he is responsible for, and Alex Smith was tied with Sam Bradford with the second-lowest air YPA in the league (2.9), which put him in the 4th percentile in the league.

By contrast, KC led the AFC in turnover margin at +18, it had the 4th-highest yards per carry on offense in the league (4.7), and its defense was solid in the ways most strongly correlated with winning.

In essence they won with a game manager.

ERROR - They won as a team.

I saw enough of the games. All I keep seeing is you guys attacking me, how come no one is presenting an actual argument why he was the key in more wins?

All season I have been giving that actual argument, but it does not matter to you what the argument is.

You do sometimes come here and will play nice...no agenda, but more times then not, you will be here with an agenda, and very obviously this is one of those times. No matter what anyone will say, the spinning machine will begin, and 200 pages later, we all find ourselves where we started.

I don't have any agenda, I comment on what I believe. You don't have to share my views, I'd love it if you countered my views so we could have a fun debate but instead I just get insults hurled at me. If there is something I like about your team I will say so, if there is something I didn't like I will say so. The reality is there have been many more reasons to criticize Miami than praise them in all the years I have been here but I always praise when you deserve it such as when I praised you after beating NE but that stuff always gets forgotten b/c I like to discuss the truth.

Sanchez INT % is 3.7%, Tannehill - 2.8%

Even while being carried by the Jets running game, Sanchez coughed it up at a much higher rate.

Enough talk about former crappy starting QBs

we don't need stats to tell us, he was a key in the Atl and NE wins, other than that your D pretty much led to all the other wins.
Colts game too. if we are only counting game winning drives

Our run game wasn't very good that year.

Interesting that Jay Cutler, Tony Romo, even Mike Glennon were responsible for more wins than Tom Brady. All that while Tom Brady was throwing to two rookie WR's and back-up TE's and now in the AFC champioship game, while none of those QB's even made the playoffs. Very interesting indeed :tubes:
