how many wins would Moore have

Less because he is less mobile than Tannehill
on paper tanne is more mobile, but it doesnt seem to translate on the field now does it? yes he does not have the "physical tools" that every one says tannehill has, but i remember not that long ago when he actually USED his "limited" mobility to escape pressure and make plays. i keep hearing how mobile tannehill is, but all i see is him going into the fetal position when he sees a rusher coming towards him.

WV thinks we should be starting Moore, so sad and embarrassing.

And he talks about Dlockz????

With this oline it is unknown. Moore might have been able to feel the pressure better than RT and scramble away.
Moore's best year was with Marshall...who makes every QB look good. I doubt that Wallace could be that kind of receiver.

Feeling pressure better than Tannehill is almost impossible to do, but Moore did a pretty darn good job himself of letting Columbo be his achilles heel and the impetus behind a few potential wins getting away. Moore would certainly do some things better, and even though he fumbles too he is vastly more secure with the ball in the air, but while secure QB play could have won the last two games (like Moore did versus the Jets last year), high upside QB play won us the Colts and Falcons games, so its a push.

Moore >>> Turnoverhill.

Its as simple as that. Matt Moore has much better pocket awareness and throws a nice deep ball. Wallace would probably light it up if we play Moore.

I'm not saying that Tannehill should be benched, he's young and learning......but I think that Moore would have done just as well if not better than tannehill

If Moore was the QB the Dolphins would have been 6-1 with that one loss being the New Orleans game. 1) Matt Moore does not stare down receivers the way Tannehill does. 2) Moore throws a MUCH BETTER DEEP BALL than Tannehill which would make Mike Wallace look like he can still play WR. 3) Moore is way more experienced in reading defenses which make him better at pre-snap reads which only comes with experience. 4) With Moore at QB the Dolphins would get about 10 points more per game. Anyone care to dispute any of this? Make your case.

This is correct, running speed doesn't translate directly to pocket presence.

Your point is well taken. But I am sure we can all agree that Tannehill was responsible for a lot of those sacks by holding the ball too long, where Moore would have thrown it away. And by doing so would also avoid QB fumbles.

yes because one year on a losing team is exactly the same as six years quite a good point

Really Matt Moore was a 6 year starter? OK sorry about that. Besides is this year looking like a winning season? Looks like at the end of the day we have a couple of losing QB's and the point is crap. Who knows though, if Dimitri Patterson keeps getting picks we may win a few games :).

Dispute what?? The only thing in that post that holds one shred of disputable fact is the Moore throws a better deep ball. That I completely agree with but Wallace isn't the only player on the field and that would equate to about 2-3 throws a game......MAYBE!
To your comment about having 10 more points per game, how on earth is that even disputable?? There is ZERO fact in that statement to even be measurable. It's simply a stated opinion. Well, I guess I disputed it.
I would love for someone that has the numbers to put together the game scores from Moores first two NFL seasons as a starter to compare to Tannehill's and see if it averages 10 more points a game.

He will probably be out next 4 games with an injury now that he has another pick..
No Matt Moore was not a starter all six years and is not a starter now because NFL Gm's and coaches dont see him as one. 32 teams have a chance to make Moore a starter and none want to.

Look I want Tannehill to succeed and completely understand how much better of a situation that would be for the Dolphins but the 32 GM thing doesn't prove that Tannehill would definetly be playing better than Moore right now. I'm sure a Jets fan could have been stating the exact same case to me with Mark Sanchez over the last couple years. We have no idea what 31 GM's think of Ryan Tannehill as he's turning the ball over at a record pace, we only know one who should have been fired 2 years ago likes him.
