How Much Is Tannehill Going To Be Worth Next Year?

If Tannehill performs as a top ten QB and MIA goes to the playoffs, MIA will probably pick up or renegotiate his option.

No way is Tannehill going to see the big money without a couple years of performance.

That's a great question. If he has a good season we would have to consider giving him what Kap signed for. I don't care what he is paid as long as we win during the regular season and the playoffs. I don't want to have an overpaid QB like Flacco and not be able to afford to put the right pieces around him.

Kap took his team to superbowl and an NFC title in consecutive years. We can't even make the playoffs. I like Tannehill but he sure as hell didn't do anything in those last 2 games with the playoffs on the line. He may get a deal if he does alright but its won't be anything in the realm of Kap's.

Thats got to be a major fear of teams paying a boatload for a QB that isn't really very good. And it screws your cap and team. The rams did that with bradford who we all can see isnt a franchise QB. Cutler and Flacco were also massively overpaid. I think kapearnick was too. Low guarenteed money with lower cap hits in 3 years needs to be the norm with young unproven guys

Hopefully more than the AR-15 his "responsible" gun-owning wife left in the back of that rental car.

What I find fascinating is not so much that out of a myriad of possible observations, both pro or con, you actually pulled Lauren's brief newsworthiness out of your butt, as much as you were able to store the AR-15 in it in the first place :idk:.

Looks like the Niners organization got the best of that deal...........surprised Kapernick took it. But I suppose the "Waco flacco" (which he is loving called around these parts) shenanigans after a big contract caused them to rethink the long term plan. He certainly made it easier for them to sign some of their star studded nucleus when it becomes necessary, but there is no doubt he left a lot of money on the table.

According to Scheffter, CK asked SF if this contract would allow them to re-sign other top players and when they said yes, he signed the deal.

Yeah, Cuttler has not won anything but, got $18M a year. Going to be interesting to see what kind of deals Dalton, Smith, and Newton get. To me, it sure looks like you're gonna have to start a at leastt $15M to singn anyone good with potential to VG or someone else will.

Guys on ESPN were saying that owners expect the cap to go up by as much as $15M next year but, then don't expect any more big jums, as the new TV money will have been mostly absorbed into the cap.

This year will obviously decide it......right now he is not worth elite money.....if he goes out this year...throws 30+tds >15 pics 4000+ yards....leads us to a division crown and we don't get embarrassed in the postseason.....he will become an even wealthier man.

Yeah, and IF not, we could be looking at starting over, one more time. NOT something I even want to think about.

If I was the Bengals I'm not paying Dalton. He isnt a postseason winner. Might be a great regular season guy but it's all about postseason. Reminds me of a poor man's Romo. You gotta pay alex smith I think he can get you over the hump. Newton I have no clue honestly he could go either way

2014 can make Ryan a very rich man, if he performs at a high level. Mediocre play will get him paid but not R Wilson numbers.

Russell Wilson doesnt deserve Russell Wilson numbers. Solid player with nice intangibles, but I have yet to see evidence that he can carry a team on his back and make them over achieve.

Start at at least 15M. I laughed so hard I pooped myself. The guy hasn't posted a winning season yet. This is the definition of Ridiculous.
