Tannehill is a damn good young qb. People that expect him to be at brees, manning, brady level are just delusional or just straight up insane. Those people forget how well manning, brady and brees looked in the early stages of their careers. At the moment all i expect from tannehill is to keep getting better every week and i feel he is doing that.

We won't know anything definitive about Tannehill until he is better coached and gets to work with an OC who works to his strengths.

Consider that to welcome Ryan to the NFL, the genius Ireland traded away the player who would've been his greatest asset on the field, Brandon Marshall. Then, the kid gets the most overpaid group of dysfunctional WRs in the league. And NO SEAM-BUSTING TE FOR YOU, BOY!!! Instead you get an athletic-but-undersized Charles Clay, and a RB who runs like Wile E. Coyote instead of the Road Runner.

Seriously, though...I'm taking the wait and see approach. I'm not saying he's our franchise QB and I'm not saying he's a bust as some people here would declare. I would love to see how successful he could be if we had a semi decent offensive line and a number one receiver who doesn't drop the ball half time. Of course, Ryan isn't without his faults as well (gotta improve the pocket awareness for one), but he's shown on numerous occasions that he's well worth that number 8 pick (see week 3).

Honestly, I'm not going to bet any money on a first or 2nd year QB unless he's a sure thing and there aren't too many out there right now. Andrew Luck might be the only guy I can say with some certainty that he'll a franchise QB, but even he has things to work on.

I do not place these types of bets, but I expect him to achieve your measure of success. The main reason his number is not in the upper 80s is the number of interceptions. Actually, i expect we would have a winning record if his TD/int was 14/8 instead of 14/11.

If you're focusing on interceptions alone, he would have to have thrown at least 8 fewer interceptions (3 or fewer total on the year) for his QB rating to be at least 90 right now.

I'm a fan of Ryan Tannehill but I'm not throwing my income on any player. I think that it's a stupid question for a poll. Some people are gamblers, some are not. I would also have preferred that how I voted remained anonymous. I am disappointed to see this breach of confidentiality that we take for granted. Like JMart, I hope that we are not subjected to bullying and harassment.
