Colin Cowherd just stated on air that a source texted him that Miami or NY Giants would be the two landing spots for Bill if these rumors are true and he wants out after the season. Colin usually has very good sources so lets hope the bill rumors are true.

I too hope that he goes to the Giants.

I wouldn't entertain the thought of that guy coaching my team.

NYG seems like a slam dunk no brainer. He's got history there, the Giants need a new coach...

... yeah, I could definitely see Bill Belichick being the next coach of the New York Giants.

But this is a super, super interesting rumor. Should Miami fire Gase to bring in Belichick? Well, it should be strongly considered. Would Miami do it? Based on everything I know about Steve Ross, no. He couldn't even bring himself to fire Jeff Ireland.

HahahahahahHa. Zero chance he comes to Miami. Don’t get your hopes up.

Gase will be the guy here for at least the next 2 years.

About time for that franchise to feel some pain. The Giants would seem like a natural landing spot for BB. I expect both coordinators to be gone to new spots as well. Miami, I have a hard time seeing it. F'em.

No way can I see that happening unless BB wants to play the Patriots twice a year.

The good thing is that he doesn’t even need to come here to help us. Just leaving NE will be a boon for Miami.

I think Gase can compete in an AFC East where 10 wins can win the division.

Miami and NYG is just clickbait. Obviously if BB is a free agent then all teams are suddenly interested. BB is no dummy though, he'd want total control of the organization. And he'd want a team positioned to make multiple superbowl runs.

That does not sound like Miami.

This deserves a topic if (big if) it ever happens. Not likely but should be shelved until the off season. Kraft would be an idiot to let BB go though.

I don't think I would enjoy rooting for him if he were coaching Miami. I would rather play the bully twice a year and try to beat him and lose than to have to cheer for the bully.

First, I doubt very much Bill is going to Miami, or even being considered, and second, if there is even a 1% chance that he is truly being considered, all I have to say is....NO!!!

Do not want him, or take him for just a few years before he actually retires, over Gase who is an up and coming HC that will eventually be at the position BB is now, for many many many years.

So I read that article and my reaction is that Kraft will throw BB some more money to stay and allow him to trade their very late 1st, their 2nd, the 2nd they got from Cleveland and whatever else to go up and get Rosen from Cleveland who still will have the 4th pick (although Darnold will be gone) for a Garappolo type developmental reset

The fact they were even battling for the division that year, was some of BB finest coaching. And speaks to what seems to be the fissure in Boston today.

I think you need to look into what fact means if you think a day after hiring 2 new coaches Gase is getting fired because Belichick is coming to Miami.

I also have some great property in Atlantis that I would love to sell you if you send me a pm

who cares who gets hired. you think Ross is going to be loyal to a mediocre coach if BB wanted to come here, and to go further, Ross would go after him. The fanbase would be energized. stop holding onto mediocrity, Gase, Wake, tannehill All mediocre

If BB quits after this season with more years on his contract, isn't he not allowed to go coach for another NFL team unless the Patriots trade him or allow him out of his contract?

Yes, because Ross has consistently shown during his time as owner of the Dolphins that he still follows the old General Motors school of management, which was what was taught when he went through business school.

I think if you spent less time imagining what you would do if you were Ross, and more time looking at what Ross has done as owner of the Dolphins and where he was brought up in the business world, you would understand why most people here think Ross is highly unlikely to fire Gase right now.
