Hurricane Irma Only thread

I was watching some college football but just changed back to the weather channel. I know we're still going to get hit here in Kissimmee at some point but more worry for my wife's parents and sister(who has 4 kids) as they have decided to stay in Tampa instead of coming here. I know they're not on a mandatory evacuation zone but still dangerous and two of the kids are toddlers plus the have 3 cats. Praying for them

They'll be ok as long as it's not a cat 4 or 5 storm.
 
Still have power here in East Miramar, but it's ****ing storming. Something just banged against my front room shutters. Anticipating a power outage with this wind, heavy rain, and really bad radar.

Generator on standby.

It the current track sticks it looks like the Eye will pass right over me.

I built my house with Hurricanes (block, poured concrete pillars) in mind...at this point, I fear leaving will just end up being more dangerous. I have more than enough food, water, and provisions. All that is left to do is put the pool furniture in the garage, makes sure the room my mother and my in-laws are comfortable. Tomorrow evening, I will sit in my kitchen with a cold beer, chips, and dip and watch the trees on the preserve get uprooted.

Good luck to all...hopefully next week we all will all be on here safe and telling stories of our experience.

Put your pool furniture in the pool
 
Dudes riding around my lake in a little blow up boat they probably bought for $4.99 when Sports Authority went out of business.

Others I see across the lake in their pool.

I emptied my pool and tossed all the outdoor furniture in there.
