Hurricane Irma Only thread

OK, for those of y'all degenerates who are bugging in and simply drinking your way through this ...

Team Bumpus is pounding brews with you. I'm gonna continue drinking straight thru tomorrow with y'uns.

Perhaps a slight 4/5 hour pass-out-break at some point, but I swear I'll be right back. :)

Loads of media companies running live streams in different areas. This area the washington post are at looks ok so far

If your power goes out, and you lose all wi-fi ... Just remember: your Uncle Bump is drinking right along with you. You are NOT alone in the dark!

Safe so far with electricity still. Spent the last two days with slacker family helping them prep.

This wind and rain is no joke, I can only imagine if we got a direct hit. Thoughts and prayers with The Lower Keys right now.

And remember when Jose looked like it was headed out to sea . . .

That **** makes a full loop and heads back to us by Friday morning.

From the outside looking it, it seems like Rick Scott is doing a pretty good job so far

I have lived here my whole life and I have to say that all government and even the people really did a great job preparing for the storm. I am very impressed. Be safe all

Stuck at work down in south Miami (hospital). Wonder if anyone can tell me what it is like in Hollywood, FL. I'm a couple blocks east of I95 and just off of Hollywood Blvd. Hate to get home on Monday and find out a tornado took off the roof. It would be bad enough if I lost power and all the food and insulin in two refrigerators is history.

Thanks in advance.

I am not that far east but where I am off University has not seen anything major yet.

Im not a big politics person, and it would be naive to think this storm and what role it would play in the 2018 elections, didn't come up in conversations on how things would get handled.

But he covered all bases and took no chances and his actions made it easier for people to prep and evacuate for this storm.

There are things I absolutely hate about what he has Passed in Florida but he did a great job with this storm.

Wow there is an entire concrete light post that fell across i95 north at Miami Gardens that is blocking all lanes.

Imagine if you are driving and don't see it.
