Hurricane Irma Only thread

I see that picture posted of the stranded Mantee, any idea, how long it could stay like that, before it's in serious trouble. I figure it's unlikely they'll try to save it in those conditions. Perhaps I'm wrong. But that's a very sad thing to see.

Winds and rain are picking up here in Kissimmee now but we're all ok so far. We do have a tornado warning but we're getting one every 10 minutes or so

Ozzy rules!!

My view during strongest winds

How's it looking over there? My father lives near middle river and I haven't been able to get ahold of him for a couple of hours. Do you have power?

Just got Downgraded to a category 2 hurricane

Still bad here in Oakland Park, but noticeably improved from the noon to 4 thrashing we took.

Rain has calmed a bit, wind still howling but not as bad as the worst.

Maybe there is a light at the end of this tunnel.

How's it looking in Oakland park ? Trying to get some information but I haven't been able to reach any of my friends and family over there. Thinking of just driving over from Springs tonight to check it out.

Boy, if this hit Miami head on, we are probably looking at something apocalyptic.

The good news, it's down to 105/mph now. The bad news it seems to be turning NE toward us in Kissimmee

Ozzy rules!!

Transformer definitely just blew. In it for the long haul. Power starting to steadily go out for my local buds.

Oakland Park the worst is definitely gone. We are down to the ocassional tropical storm gusts with rain . . . Which beats the hell out of 5 straight hours high tropical storm to category 1 sustained winds. Debris everywhere from tree branches to roof shingles . . . Flooding held pretty much in check where i am at.

Middle River is sort of close to Victoria Park and that is where my dad is. He survived but his stair railing blew away and a tree is in front of his path to walk down.

We both lost power. Invited him to come by me pre storm but he was certain,it wouldn't be a big deal after the west jog . . . He was wrong.

We both living so that is most important.
