Hurricanes possibly looking to break free from the Dolphins and Sun Life stadium

Sounds like you want us to blow $1 BILLION to make a stadium that is a shorter walk for you. Now, if you were an economist, financial analyst, or whoever studies the cost-benefit of the project, where would you rank the ability to walk to the stadium from a hotel?

What I mean, is I have no desire to go to Dolphin Games anymore unless they are on the Road, at nice Ballparks, like Dallas or Seattle, or NYC. I went when we spanked the Jets up there this year. Met Life is insane nice. It's not just about walking, it's about having something that says we are a Elite NFL City and Franchise, on and off the Field. The Dolphins have to stop trying to improve crap. Put it in great location, like Sawgrass or Miami, and I would start going again. The Dolphins used to own this town. People don't go to the Stadium, not just because we went 4-4 this past year, but because no one including me wants to sit on that POS Upper Deck.

I think 800 Million could get it done. Isn't Mr. Magoo a Billionaire? Jerry Jones did it.

Everybody is for upgrades. Moving in the sideline seats and a roof were part of that $200 Million dollar proposal. But just not with any kind of tax dollars. SunLife's structure is made to upgrade. It supports a roof upgrade as well as moving the sideline seats in closer. When Sunlife opened it was a bare concrete structure with a supportive structure for expansion and upgrades. The renovations Huizenga did was made possible because if its bare structure. Both upgrades (lower level and upper level concourse widening) goes seamless into the existing structure.

SunLife is everything but a dump. It requires an investment.

I want not invest any more money into Crap, that is Sun Life

Realize that the Heat, Panthers and Marlins all have better facilities than the Dolphins. Fins have the most outdated facility of any pro team in South Florida.

The Orange Bowl was a dump but, it was the greatest place in the world for me to watch a game. Sun Life is avarage but, no where near the OB "experience."

Year's ago, I was in N'Awlins for almost two years in the warehouse district. There was a Hyatt Hotel one building away, and they had a hell of a deal with a fabulous brunch, Saints cheerleaders, and a mini bus to take me to and from the game (5 minutes away). The Dome was great with great food, some Jazz musicians playing around the stadium, and fantastic fans.

Funny side note- The fist game I went to I had no idea where I was going, and the bloody mary's at brunch did not help. After assorted wrong turns and being lost, my wife and I ended up walking on the the field. I told her that I did not think our tickets were THIS good, as 5 security guys came running to us, asking how the hell we got there.

I explained that we went dis a way and dat a way and ended up here. They got a kick out of it, thanked us for finding a security breach, and two escorted us to our correct seats, which were not as good. LOL
