Hell it sucked every yeqar when we drafted guys like Moore and Fletcher over better players and sucks now with a regime that has not a clue how to find a qb

How do you think they'd respond to someone slapping a multi-million dollar nuclear contract in front of 'em and then have them structure a budget around it and get the job done on time....

My family isn't going hungry any time soon... I'll take it.
 
Some of you need to take Matt Ryan's nuts out of your mouth. He is not on the team if you want to give so much praise to Matt Ryan go root for the falcons.

PS...Ryan didnt look to good in that playoff game last year did he?

Wasnt matt Ryans fault they lost that game. rodgers went 31 of 36 for over 300 yards. Ryan was not awful by any stretch 20 of 29 1 td 2 int. Not great but the reason they lost was not matt ryan. I guess marino was the one that cost us the superbowl versus the niners

Yeah he didn't do a good job on rushing Aaron Rodgers and he didn't tackle well either.
 
if you want to be honest marino was at fault for SB since its a team game. But everybody on here claims that Ryan is a Jesus Christ playing at QB and he is not.
Ryan is serviceable but he suffers the same flaws as any other QB with a weakness on the team. When we picked long we were awful at every postion so for them to start there im not going to kill them for. Ryan would have been destroyed back there and we probably would have been picking top 5 the following year, i wonder how this fanbase would have reacted if we went 3-13 the following year?

Pretty sure ryan would get the same treatment every damn QB has gotten the past 15 years. Hell when Fiedler actually took us to the playoff's he still got crucified so its a moot point to bring up Matt ****ing Ryan.

why would Ryan have been destroyed when he went to a falcons team that was getting their qb's killed nightly and he is still alive. fielder was not any better because we made the playoffs like i said its a team game but qb is the most important position. How many super bhowl mvps have been LT I rest my case

i think they deserved to be criticized for that.

although you are right that we were pretty much weak at most positions back then, bottom line is, franchise qb is the hardest to find, and we had one for the taking.

jake long is a terrific player, and i am happy we have him, but nonetheless, we really should have taken a qb 1st overall, because as good as jake is, you dont need a jake long caliber player to win in this league. you need a qb, unless you are going to have a defense as dominant as the 85 bears, 2000 ravens, or 2002 bucs.

im pretty sure Atlanta's O-line was alot better than ours along with thier Wr's, so that makes my argument that our team was signifigantly worse than thiers hence the reason even with Chad P we had to scrap to win every game that year.
 
Let's take a look at a little bit of this playoff game that Matty Ice gets blasted for.. I want you to pay attention and count how many clean shots the Falcons have where they have Rodgers dead to rights, and they whiff... come up with nothing but air...

Even when they did manage to sack him, the play was nullified due to piss poor technique by the secondary resulting in holding/pass interferrence calls..

Pay attention to the missed tackles by Atlanta, and receivers that understand how to get open. Pay attention to how even when Green Bay's receivers are covered (James Jones for example) they still make plays on the football and come down with it...

All in all, it was one of the worst defensive performances in the playoffs by any team recently..... and got 48 points hung on 'em as a result...

I want you to pay attention to the interception that gets charged to Matt Ryan on the throw around the 2:18 mark... All that scrub Michael Jenkins has to do is keep his feet under him, and that's either a touchdown (if he can make a play on the football like James Jones did for Rodgers) or an incompletion.. That's why they got rid of Jenkins and traded all those picks for Julio Jones. I gurantee you Julio comes down with that ball 6 out of 10 times. They need somebody that can perform while Roddy White is getting bracketed...


The other interception is just a combination of a bad decision, bad playcall, bad execution... and excellent film study by the Packers. I can show you worse interceptions in the playoffs by Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger in the Super Bowl..

If you can pin this playoff loss on the quarterback of the Falcons, you might as well not even bother watching Miami as long as Chad Henne is the quarterback and Sparano is the head coach...

Atlanta Oline was just as bad if not worse. atlanta had the 30th ranked offense while the fins had the 26th ranked offense while atlantas line had them sacked 47 times to our 42 so how di Atlanta have a better oline.
Year one of Matt Ryan they had the sixth ranked offense in yards and 10th in points. last year was 5th in points

When we do draft this QB of the future its going to take at least 3 years to get him up to speed, Can you really imagine this fanbase being that patient?...i dont think so first INT they will want the back up in to replace him.

It may take three years and fans are fans but I mean how many years are we gonna wait to get that guy. I mean every year taking a DL or OL , u might think qb one day. Only regime i know that shows no value in skill positions

So because a couple dim wits on a fan message board have no clue about the development process of a nfl QB the Dolphins shouldn't find a elite one?
