I don't think Ross will make a change, and that's a problem

If you want changes from the top down, boycott the team. Even if you got tickets, don't show up.

Its hard to do that when I have invested a lot of money in season tickets already. I know I can sell them, but thats not easy to do when NOONE wants to buy tickets anyway.

I frankly am not confident change will happen, so I agree with Skape. Pathetic as it sounds, I think the NFL investigation is the best chance fans have of seeing the current dump heap thrown out and quality personnel installed.

-and I'm not even confident in that. If our team has to forfeit picks, it makes chasing new personnel even harder.

Does anyone think that the panel of experts is going to tell Ross how it is? I sure don't. I think Shula and Dungy are both going to stay loyal to the coach. I think Marino will say what's best for the quarterback (continuity). Jason Taylor has never been quoted as saying they need to get rid of a coach. Why would say that now? That panel of experts is a complete sham. I feel like Ross put people in place who would most definitely be in favor of keeping the coach. I think the OP has it correct we will fire Jeff Ireland and we will keep Joe Philbin and it will set us back two or three years.

It's kind of like when the NFL Network guys ask Michael Irvin what playmaker need to step up for the Cowboys. The whole world knows what he is going to say.

It's got to be fun working for the Dolphins knowing your boss in in upstate New York and giving you full freedom to run your own show.

That's the problem with Ross, he's absentee, and out of touch.

I hope he saves face and sells the team because with Tannehill as our Qb and Philbin as coach, the Dolphins won't sniff another winning season. It'll be at least two more losing seasons and counting.... He's a a disaster of an NFL owner.

When the owner is a fan and can donate half his worth to a college, there is an issue there imo. He has just thrown his copious amounts of money at the team with no real football insider knowledge. Hell the fact that he bought into parcels bs and probably still has him on payroll was enough for me to know he is in over his head.

Ross couldn't say anything bad about Philbin. Notice in that interview he never mentioned Ireland. Hes as good as gone. Now Philbin I'm assuming if he wants him gone or the new GM wants his own guy, and Ross is in this for the money he will listen. Lets just wait and see. I dont want the FO or coaching staff around for 2 horrific losses 1 against the Bills with a 3rd string QB while dolphins were coming off a bye week and last night after 10 days prep time. Those 2 losses are the most embarrassing.

Ugh, from the sounds of Dungy saying e will work with Philbin after the season to implement a strong code of ethics, it sounds like Ross is keeping him around...

These half measures are killing us. Just setting us back another few years...

My worst nightmare from the last half measure of keeping Ireland has come to pass.

You can't have half measures, you can't have lame ducks, and you can't continue to have garbage at the GM position. Have some balls and either fire Philbin after the season or tell him he has 4 more years, but it would be a waste of everybody's time to give him one more year to prove something.

I don't think Shula gives a rat's ass what anyone else thinks. Dude is EIGHTY THREE.

He will replace Ireland this year. Philbin stays one more year, and if there is no drastic
improvment, he's gone.

I have been right on almost Ross's moves, because I believe I have insight into his
mindset, and this is what I think.

Roger Goodell will force changes.

Ireland is gone. We know this.

We will lose draft picks probly so sticking with this guy at this point would be astronomically bad attendance wise.

But if you bring in a new GM, a guy who is not in house, you will more than likely see an end to the Green Bay experiment.

What concerns me about this...is that I think Ross is actually a nice guy. And Philbin is likable...and I think he's a nice guy, too.

But one has to at least raise an eyebrow at the way the team came out yesterday.

It actually wouldn't shock me if Philbin resigned.

Kraft is probably whispering in Ross's gullible ear that if he lets Ireland walk, he will sign him in a Boston minute. Ross is a league joke and he is laughing along with all the owners. They are laughing at him.

I don't think Philbin resigns. I don't see a guy pretty much committing career suicide.
