I'm with you on this, Kast. I love how people will b*tch just for the sake of b*tching. I have no idea what was wrong with showing the battle between Freeney and Pace.
 
Oh get over yourselves. Of course there's nothing wrong with it, in the sense that there's something wrong with stealing or listeing to Britney spears. It's just freakin boring over and over and over again. A good broadcast doesn't focus on one matchup -- one that ended up being far from dynamic, I may add. here's a hint: if you have to comment on the same thing, because -- as you yourself say -- that's all ther eis to describe each time, well, maybe you should focus on something else for a while. I bet you like half-time shows at the SB too
 
that makes no sense. freeney was getting shut down, which has NEVER happened before, so it was a big story. if randy moss is getting shut down by a corner, are they just going to show it once and never mention it again? your expecations are unrealistic. and i've never watched a halftime show in my life (except the 3-D one in like 89 or whatever)
 
"far from dynamic?" i, for one, enjoyed watching pace handle freeney again and again. it's about time somebody did it. i think they kept showing it because they couldn't believe it. remember what trouble other guys have had with freeney? pace deserved his time in the spotlight. and i have pretty sophisticated tastes, so please come up with a more clever personal insult if you need a comeback.

Well we can disagree about what makes good football discourse. I was bored of the non-spin move by the third highlight -- my objection had more to do with madden's droning commentary (as it always is) than the actual focus of the matchup. It sure didn't help. If you like it, I'm happy for you. Although I have to agree about the 3-D halftime show -- that must a freakin must!

Also, the commercials are ridiculous. I bet they could fit 7 commercials in a 9 play drive. It's gotten to the point where you just can't stay up and watch MNF unless it's for your team because it's just too late.

yeah, you just gave me a reality check. Michael and Madden are gold compared to the ESPN crew. Theisman has to be the biggest jack-as-s behind a mic. He undercuts every single commment his colleauges make, he'll criticize a coach's call to run on 1st and 5 just to hear himself speak, In fact i wonder if anyone during a game -- QB, Coach, Ref -- can make a decision that theisman doesn't second guess. I've heard him criticize 20 yard passes for a 1st down because another reciever was open for 25 yards. No kidding.
 
i hate how the ESPN failures call tomlinson "LT" all the time. it's one thing if they do it on a touchdown run or something, but they do it on EVERY play. "LT up the middle for a 3 yard gain." guess what? that's not his name. and of course, calling vick simply "michael." theismann must've been angry for days when vick did that "i'm not gay" press conference

The replay between Pace and Freeney was definitely worth showing but I wish I had someone else commentating instead of Micheals and Madden, the worst combo out there. Sunday night is pretty bad to though and I'm not a huge fan of Randy Cross either.
