I have changed my mind....If Feeley Starts...I will kill myself.

Let me remind you and others that both Brees and Young while playing on bad teams.....especially with bad O-lines.....had happy feet and looked like deers with the headlights in their eye's. Anyone old enough to remember the Yuc's of old...can remember why Steve Young hated playing in Tampa. I see no difference between Tampa's old O-line and the Dolphins O-line....neither can/could play or block blitzing defenders. So why should any Dolphin QB be different than a player like Young...or Brees?

For every Young or Brees, there are a dozen guys in similar situations who don't make it. My point is that Feeley is far more likely to be the latter than the former.

Feeley's final judgement will be made at the end of preseason and everything right now is just conjecture. Let's see how this team pans out after the first set of cuts.

God...did Feeley look bad.....

He held the ball a little too long and still had the happy feet...

Why does the word "prissy" come to mind when I see Feeley play?

For such a good arm...the guy refuses to "try" to make the tough throw...he seems to want to take all the easy stuff.....grow some balls AJ.

He has horrible feet in the pocket and he won't freakin step up into it.

If he throws another pass off his back foot...I will personally go down to the field and slap him.

Hey AJ...you know that guy that wears number 84?....You know...he's our best reciever...look for him.

Rough start for AJ...Gus looked like an NFL QB.....Gus really reminded me of Jake Delhomme when he first got to Carolina....

You sound like those liberals who said they'd move to Canada if Bush got re-elected..

Ok thats a rough rough rough comparison.... Gus to Delhomme - come ON! at least Delhomme can get the ball in the right spot, notice the insane catch by Gilmore and if you read the Sun Sentinel Gus wasn't even throwing to him...... Lots of proving needs to be done to gain Dolfans trust....

To quote Ben Stiller: "Do it. Do it."

I really have to cut myself off from the Feeley posts as this is entirely ridiculous and a huge waste of time and energy. But I guess I'm a glutton for punishment.

The one good point you make is his footwork. Everybody talks about his lack of pocket presence, which is certainly bad, but also isn't excruciatingly terrible for a guy of his experience level. (Note- I know he's 28. That doesn't mean he's experienced) What I notice is that when pressure comes, he never has his body in the right position to elude it. He'll be turned in a way that he can't side-step or get the ball out of there quickly. I think at least part of it is mechanical. The presence may or may not ever develop, but this is a skill that he should be working on.

I do want him to succeed. I just have very little faith he will actually do so. For those who cant comprehend the difference.

Show me how do you want him to succeed? Give me one post you said something positive...or even somewhat objective when it comes to feeley.

Your sig bashes him, it has been your sig for a while, and you have been bashing him all day even though his performance wasn't bad. Stop the BS and just admit you hate the guy. It would be easier. I have read most of your posts....tell me what I am missing.

What game were you people watching? Feeley sucked? The guy looked better than last year. He had one bad throw, four good ones and one great one (the Derrius Thompson pass was beautiful - over the safety's head and under the CBs- picture perfect other than DT dropped it.) He had one play in the pocket that he may have been able to something. Feeley showed touch, he looked off his receiver at least twice and he had no picks. He has definitely improved in both locking on and getting touch on his passes.

Frerotte on the other hand looked good, played the system with the five and eight yard passes. That wounded duck to Chambers is not the type of pass I would get excited about. He did show command of the offense on the other hand and Finfans should be happy about all of our QBs play last night. Anybody ripping Feeley's performance last night knows squat about the game

This should be the post everyone looks to because it is 110% accurate based on that game.

Gus knows the system better, AJ has more physical tools and ability.

If potential does not result in productivity, than what does it matter? Jeff George may have been the most physically gifted Qb I ever saw play, but he couldn't get it. Aj can have more physical tools, but if he doesn't use them what good are they?

Im done proving myself to you. If the tard knew how to qb we wouldnt be having this discussion. These are supposed to be his PRIME YEARS. He's 28 and yet he still plays like a rookie, scared and timid. I do hate the guy, never said i didnt. i cant stand underachievers, and thats what he is. That said I want to like him because he's a phin and cause i want all my phins to do well. Get it? Not a hard concept.

You're not missing anything....If Feeley succeeds, Boik looks like an idiot for hating him so, naturally he doesn't want him to succeed.

People bash him and people are in love with him.The truth is:
The guy has the arm but lacks the brain to play the position.Feeley is not exactly 22 so I don't see why people see him as something special.

Gus will start and next year QB will be priority.
