I would totally support a move

The Miami Dolphins are not moving anywhere, ever. Heres an idea if you dont have anything of value to bring to the discussion dont post, ok?

You mean like what you just posted? LoL. I'm not saying they will move, nor am I attacking the locals for choosing to go or not. I'm also not trying to get into an argument with those posters who attack those of us who are not locals to that area. Maybe those seats are full. Maybe those seats are filled with people wearing something like an orange seat costume that only appears like empty seats the entire game. (Good costume, by the way. I completely fell for it.) Something that we out-of-towners do have that maybe the locals are unaware of are eyes and ears. We can see a lot of empty seats for the entire game (I was even able to see this several years ago), and we can hear both the commentators commenting on the empty stadium (or how quiet it is) and the control of the stadium by the opposing team's fans. I do not know the local economy, but I have been to some games at other stadiums and (based on the examples Miami natives have supplied) can say that going to a game in Miami seems to be on pace with or cheaper than the games at the Redskins' or the Ravens' stadium. Ticket prices seem to be cheaper down there from all online sources I've found. I have also heard people talk about the weather down there. I'm sure it is uncomfortable to sit in such a hot stadium. I'm sure sitting shirtless in Green Bay (in December) is much more comfy. Again, you all have your choices (and I respect those choices), but I would support a decision to move the team (from a business standpoint).

The stadium wasn't empty. I will repeat this every day if I have to.
I see you are from VA too. Assuming you watch the games on tv, let me offer you this... those orange things above the players are empty seats. Look for them. They are all over the place. You cannot miss it. They'll be there the entire game.

Yea a move to LA would be awesome for the players.I mean who wouldnt want to travel to the east coast for most of your games?lol...The Dolphins arent going anywhere. If Tampa kept the bucs through there bad years(and there were alot) Miami will keep the Dolphins....Winning cures all the problems with struggling teams.Players will actually want to play in Miami and the fans(bandwagoneers included)will fill the stadium.

I love how some dingleberries who

-live 100s if not 1000s of miles away from OUR region, and
-who probably started rooting for the team because of those kewl childhood colors

-yet likely never lived in the area the team represents
-think that a few knock off Chinese jerseys and Sunday ticket contribute anything to the team's bottom-line
-might see 1 home game every few years, if that
-possibly have never have been to the OB, or Joe Robbie stadium for that matter, let alone any of its later commericial variations
-needs a GPS to find Dolphin Mall or Sun Life Stadium

sitting in their lazyboys, thinking that their "support of the Fins" translates into even a damn smudge on its profitability, believe that their opinions matter more than those of US who grew up with this team in its backyard and demonstrate its support thru actual spending dollars. We're the ones who have to drive home with a heavy heart instead of saying "oh ****" and turning on the next game with their feet up while munching their nachos.

Personally, I can give a flying **** about the opinion of someone watching the same team from the same easy chair who thinks they would be better off outside OUR region. These type opinions hold as much weight as ultimately did Rex Ryan's lap bands.

FWIW, I don't care where you put this or any other team.. if it's gonna lose at home as regularly and predictibly as have the Fins, after the novelty of having NFL football wears off, the bandwagoner attendance would be a helluva lot less than it is in Miami where at least you have the hard core lifetime fans.

So in summation, I state with full respect, just STFU if you have no vested interest in the geography of this team and don't do anything more than support it by catching all its games on Sunday ticket.

Your (and several other local's) inept attempt at attacking the non-locals is ridiculous. Image what would happen to the Dolphins if the only place their merchandise sold was locally. Do you really think we offer no support whatsoever? Are you really that ignorant? Do you really think the Miami Dolphins would stay in Miami if the only place that stuff sold was in the Miami area? I'd venture to say that there is about as much (or more) support outside of the Miami area. Get a clue.

Think about how long and how bad he bills have sucked and theyvstill pack their stadium every home game..you can't just support your team when they are good.

I agree. If I lived in a small market city like Buffalo, or Green Bay, hell even San Antonio for my Spurs, even if the team sucks why not support them? It isn't telling the owner of the team that you like the fact that the team sucks and that you agree with the ****ty moves the team has made. It's just you being a fan. Life is short, why wait for the day that may never come where your team is glorious every year?

Please itemize over the last 5 years how you personally supported the team in a meaningful, impactful bottom-line way aside from going "rah rah rah" (I was on the turnpike Sunday evening, what show were you watching?) (aka, buy a goddamn clue)

First, I could not sit down and list all of the Miami Dolphins things I have purchased over the last five years. Why would I even care to waste my time trying to prove anything to you? You are nothing to me. Who really gives a **** if you were on the turnpike? Am I supposed to be impressed that you were spending gas money? So you were driving home...big f-ing deal. Quit acting like such a little *****. I spend quite a bit on Dolphins NFL apparel. Once again, how do you think the Miami Dolphins would do without non-local support? I see you avoided the question.

When's the last time you've been down to (whatever the stadium happened to be called at that time) in N. Miami???. Are you coming down this season to add your support, or merely counting again on the rest of us and calling us out from the comfort of your easy chair in Bumfork Va?

If you can't understand that for locals the Fins are not a choice like they are to remote "fans" but are in our DNA, you need to take a hike. I can give a **** what some out of towner who needs a GPS to get to Davie thinks about our worthiness to keep OUR team.

Watching empty stands sucks. Y'all can dislike me for saying that if you like, but I'm sick of seeing other teams pack the stadium. Hell, move closer my way so I can attend a bunch of games. It's sad when the commentator says there are more fans along the Dolphins sideline than in the stands. This is not a knock to the folks that faithfully attend or those who cannot afford to go to a game. I just want to see a packed house of Dolfans for a change, and I know I am not alone.

What is sad when teams like the Bengals have such loyal fans. The problem with being a transient city, Atlanta has suffered from the same thing as well.
