This isn't a whether or not he should be fired thread and I don't think he does, but I do want to see what potential Gm's are out there that you would like see take over if Ireland does get relieved of duty at the end of the season. Be reasonable...with your selections...GM's that are already established with certain franchises.

Scott Pioli - Has been instrumental in building some of the most talented team in the NFL....The New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs. Is notable for not only getting guy who fit the teams personality, but also establishing quality depth on the team. His biggest knock is his inability to chose a head coach

Eric Decosta – Assistant GM – Baltimore Ravens – Has spent most of his pro career working under Ozzie Newsome and has played a significant role in drafting many of their pro-bowl players. He is seen as the successor to Newsome when he does retire and is currently one of the highest paid executives in the NFL so I doubt he would leave, but with Ross's fat pockets and willing to spend to win, he may be able to persuade DeCosta to leave Baltimore.

Give me a dude from the Ravens. They know how to draft over there.

How about our own assistant GM Brian Gaine. I'd like to see what he can do.

I like Pioli in terms of player personnel but he couldn't find a QB or Head Coach. Guys I would research:

Kevin Colbert Pittsburgh Steelers
Omar Kanh Pittsburgh Steelers
James Harris Detroit Lions
Trent Kirchner Seattle Seahawks
John Dorsey Green Bay Packers
Brian Gaine: Miami Dolphins

I don't know much about him other then he has worked closely with Ireland and he interviewed for the Jets job last year.

Well if Philbin stays .... Dorsey would seem like a very logical fit.

Scott Pioli is Bill Parcells' son in law. No thanks.

Ahhhh. I forget he went to the Chiefs. Scratch that.

I actually wanted him last year before Ross decided to stick with Ireland.

I do like Kirchner....Seattle is a very talented team who has drafted well over the last few years...

Dorsey is the new GM of the Chiefs...you're a year late.

My short list.
Eric DeCosta - Assistant GM of the Ravens.
Duke Tobin - Director of Player Personnel in Cincinnati (look at the roster they have in Cincy...he has helped draft a massive amount of talent)
Will Lewis - Director of Pro Personnel in Seattle

No Brian Gaine for me. We need a new direction from the front office personnel we have. Gaine is another front office personnel guy that moved over from the Cowboys when Parcells was hired, there's no reason to believe he would be any different than Jeff Ireland right now. Gaine has worked with Parcells since his days as a Jet...that doesn't excite me.

Unless we don't win anymore games this year, it's NEXT year that is do or die for everyone.
