If Philbin gets fired, who would you like to see as head coach?

If Philbin gets fired then Ozzy Osbourne should be the HC.

Ozzy rules!!

Jay Gruden, although Shaw is growing on me.

I'm not done with Philbin yet. We need to get rid of Ireland and let Joe build his team.

But I'll play the game..... if I had to make a change, there's one guy I would take right now and that's Tony Dungy.
Give him whatever he wants.

Sumlin would be intriguing. He has made the transition to the SEC and brought that offense too.

I did one of these a few weeks ago about Ireland and as I said in that thread....this isn't whether or not he should be fired, just who you would like to see replace him.

Potential candidates.

Kevin Sumlin- Head Coach - Texas A&M
DavidSahw - Head Coach - Standford
Lovie Smith - Former Head Coach of Chicago Bears
Brian Billick - Former Head Coach of the Raven
John Gruden - Former Head Coach of Bucs and Raiders
Jay Gruden - Offensive Coordinator Bengals
Ken Whisenhunt - Offensive Coordinator Charger
Josh McDanials - Offensive Coordinator Patriots

I don't think Philbin is going anywhere...at least for now, but

Kevin Sumlin- Head Coach - Texas A&M....No thanks you, enough with failing college coaches.

DavidSahw - Head Coach - Standford........See Above

Lovie Smith - Former Head Coach of Chicago Bears....Not horrible, but I am hoping for better.

Brian Billick - Former Head Coach of the Raven.......HELL NO, would not want to see this guy as our assistant water boy.

John Gruden - Former Head Coach of Bucs and Raiders.......Ding Ding Ding, why not, this guy can get the offense going, get a good DC, we're set.

Jay Gruden - Offensive Coordinator Bengals.......Might be as good as good a HC his bro, already a top OC...why not.

Ken Whisenhunt - Offensive Coordinator Charger......I don't know about this guy, have a feeling he could succeed this time, but...

Josh McDanials - Offensive Coordinator Patriots......His HC duty in Denver, told me everything I need to know....no thanks

IF...IF Joe is gone...I will say the same and only name I asked for like before we hired Joe.....Rob Ryan.

John Gruden is also one of the hardest working and most obsessive coaches in the NFL. HE still spends much of his time in head coach especially looking at game tapes and had an almost perfect analysis of Tannehill in his QB thing he does. I really like the idea of him working with Tannehill.

NONE of the above I say call "Al Golden" of the Miami Hurricanes, he has done a masterful job under very difficult conditions!

If Gruden wanted to come back to coaching he would have done so.
Oh not to mention he is incredibly overrated as a head coach.

I believe he would bring the best out of Tannehill, and the offense would flourish, get a top DC, and this team could be a nightmare to play each week.

Yea, multiple times almost reaching the superbowl with the Raiders, and winning a Superbowl with the Bucs in his 1st year proves how overrated he is.

Let's get Gruden. I think he is the only one I would be happy with

Ken Whisenhunt.

He apparently became to complacent and stubborn in Arizona. Combine that with a dreadful handling of the quarterback position and he had to go.

Those shouldnt be problems here. He will be hungry to succeed after being fired and, as we are seeing with Rivers, he can still build an offense to best suit Tannehill.

Actually no. Gruden is still being paid by Tampa through this year. If he took a job Tampa was off the hook. I think Gruden wanted to give the Galzer's a screw job...
