If Sparano doesn't get fired then Ireland Should. Someone needs to pay.

Ireland is Carl Peterson's boy. That worries me.

Frankly, if we get Andrew Luck I don't care who the coach is. It could even be Sparano and I'd live through every fistpump. A franchise singal caller in today's league is more important than the Coach, the GM, the owner, everyone. Look no further than Peyton Manning. Averaged something like 12 wins every year for a decade, got them to 2 SBs, won one of them. Caldwell owes the job to Dungy, and Dungy owes it to Manning. We're now seeing just how dominant and valuable Manning was to that franchise. Easily worth 10+ wins EVERY SINGLE YEAR. Luck is that type of player.

You mean like Cleveland?

no, if cleveland included, that would make 4. we are 0-4. and counting....

but seriously here folks. If you were in Ross' shoes, would you fire someone at this point in the season that you are relying on for information on the inside? I wouldnt. I want to find out what players are sandbaggin and who is actually trying to get better. that is very valuable information for the next guy. Ross is doing research as we speak. At least he should be. Ireland is simply holding down the fort for a while. He will get canned too. Its that bad. Its just that you cannot really get anyone to take his place right now. Unless Peterson is the guy. If he is the guy, then he can no longer get info from Ireland who knows alot more than any of us know on teh inside. Ireland is still valuable. I know that sounds stupid, but Ireland is checking out alot of stuff right now as we speak that will be valuable to this owner down the road.

should rich people pay their fair share? whatever that means? ride it out brother. we will win, just not against most good teams. we just went through three of the best teams in the league.
No, they went through us, like butter. If we can't compete with the best, then who give a ****? (let alone Cleveland).

Ireland should have been fired the day he passed on Matt Ryan over Long.

really? and so what has matt ryan done? he cant win big games. and he has had the best TE in football history. he has julio jones and roddy white and the other guy. he hasnt take his team anywhere. imagine if he had to play the new england pats twice every year. he would be like playing catchup and throwing picks at the end of ball games too.

exactly! right on! you got it! suck for luck! start watchin film on luck. it might make you smile. i understand he is 6'4" and 245lbs and runs like a kid who knows how to step up in a moving pocket.

Not upgrading at QB, Safety, TE or pass rush in today's pass happy NFL was just flat out negligent of Ireland.

He just doesn't get that this is a passing league. He is more to blame than Sparano.

well, there is a theory going around that ireland is simply following directions. he was told not to spend alot of $. and who knew that reshad jones would suck along with bell? any of you saw that comin? cus i didnt hear ya moanin during preseason about our safety probs. TE, maybe, but then again, some TE's that went to other teams are not doing so hot anyhoo. rookie TE's can be a crapshoot. and another thing, Ireland did not have complete control for first two-three years. This past draft was really his first all by himself deal.

I'm down for going Michael Corleone on this situation. Let the year play out as miserably as its headed. Then completely clean house.

All due respect, you are forgiving way too much on this. This is not about just these 4 games. It's about the lack of growth and improvement over the last three years. There is no reason after three or four seasons of drafts, moves, and coaching that this team should actually be WORSE. It is inexcusable and unacceptable for one of the legendary franchises in the NFL. Enough is enough and it's time to get it on track to being a winning team. We are now on a 7 game losing streak dating back to last year and the team is just dreary and there is nothing in the way they play, the emotion, or strategy that makes me feel like they are going to win to any degree. What are we hoping? That we go on a streak and end up 7-9 or 8-8 AGAIN??? No, it's time to admit that the Parcels/Ireland/Sparano era was as disastrous as the Speilman/Wandstedt era....heck maybe even worse.

Blow it up.

I was on the optimist side at the beginning of this season but let me tell ya brother, my patience for this regime was at zero. It was win this season and prove your worth or prove you are worthless.

There is no middle ground after 4 seasons and especially after re-tooling from the ground up. The saddest part of this whole debacle is Parcells weaseling his dumb-*** out of here without taking one once of accountability for anything. It's pretty sad when I have to man up and say Jerry Jones is right on about his assessment of Parcells (I hate Jerry Jones, he is tops on my list of *******s in the NFL) but he was right on about BP.

I am a man and will admit when I was wrong, I was wrong this time out about this regime, flat wrong. I hope it gets gutted from the top down and that gutless kiss *** Ireland deserves his fair share of getting his *** booted out the door.

Yup. It's not like the Ireland personnel decisions are working out. The team not only needs new leadership but it needs a fresh perspective. The Bill Parcels model may have worked in the past but the new NFL is filled with offensively dynamic teams and not plodding, ball control offenses that grind it out.

Their needs to be an entirely new change in direction and philosophy.

I think Ireland is a lot safer than some of you think. He appears to be Ross' right hand man.
nublar, be that as it may, Ross is in different stratosphere when it comes to business and being ruthless to get what he wants. and what he wants is a winner, to that end if he thinks this team is a winner w/o ireland... jeff is a gone.
