I don't think so. I think Miami has not been a favoured destination for players for a long time.

So what did Colin say about the Dolphins on December 15th that year?

Isn't it? Routinely, we are a middle of the pack win total-team that lost it's starting QB. Yet we are the laughing stock of the league?

Not the team that went 0-16
Not the teams that spent a boat load in the offseason (Giants, Raiders) with no significant injury.

    But us? This place!

What? Lol..How does a clearly dysfunctional team win 6,7,8,9,10(playoff berth) games routinely in the NFL?

Next year Tannehill is going to play WR? Is this supposed to be a serious analysis show or a parody show?

The main reason our team finished 10-6 on 2016 were a very powered running game led by Ajayi the beast and having Landry to move the chains, his average YAC were elite. Top of the league for WR. Tannehiill is way better than Cutler and that is the reason why we finished 6-10 last year. Gase hasnt proved he is the type of coach that can win with strategy over talent. Only Bellicheat has done that, and even him recognized that some players are worth keeping despite some issues like Amendola, Edelman “the slot WR”, Gronk is injury prone and his running backs that are one dimensional but he understand that talent must be used accordingly. Now I don’t see Bellicheat getting rid of the best slot receiver in the game, a top 5 DT and a strong breaking tackle machine like Ajayi. That is why he wins and we loose. If they were that successful by ignoring Gase orders and players like Caroo, Julius Thomas and Jay Cutler were that putrid despite following Gase by the book, then it tells you just how much significant is talent. Landry ignoring the playbook is 300% better than Caroo following it, so until you draft or take on FA a WR that actually plays better than Landry because of discipline, you just don’t get rid of the few talented players you have. On 2016 we had 4 players on the top 5 at their position. Suh, Ajayi, Jones and Landry. Seems like only one of them will remain on the roster.

I hope Miami has a stretch of like 2 decades of dominance in their future to make up for this ineptness.

Answer the question. How does a team that routinely wins 6 - 10 a year become the laughing stock of the league?

Miami does not routinely win 6-10 games a year. More like 6-8 games a year. Yes 6-8 wins every year may be one peg above laughingstock, but is this what it has come down to for Miami, debating whether 6-8 wins every years is less embarrassing than 0-5 wins every year? 6-8 wins every year is the worst place to be as an nfl team.

So you're telling me that going 0-16 is equivalent to winning 6-8 games a year? Wow!

Point is...it doesn't matter if you're the absolute bottom of the bottom shelf
with Cleveland or whoever -- you're firmly established entrenched in the
BOTTOM and the fans HAVE TO ASK who did this to us???

    Clue #1: see ownership

I agree with 100% of the article - if you put the "laughing stock" part aside, the guy is right - give Tannenclown a breathalyzer...

We’ve been irrelevant for 20 years despite signing big name players in free agency frequently. Talked up by fans and media several off seasons to always fail. The Dolphins are laughed at league wide by most other fan bases every year. 4th longest drought of reaching a conference championship game. 6th for Super Bowl. 5th longest Playoff victory drought. Pretty damn depressing being a fan of this team.

So the teams that have been worse than us just get snickered at while we get laughed at?

Really? Google "miami dolphins" and "bullying". How does a team in a gladiator sport get in trouble for bullying? The laughing started to get pretty loud right about then, hasn't died down yet.

    Our Miami Dolphins. LOL

And you have Tim Tebow day and the former Snorty Line Coach. Uniform change in 2013 was also a joke. The lame celebrity owners phase. Ross trying to hire a coach with one already in place. All the Miami embarrassments on National tv. Timmons going AWOL Lol Miami is an embarrassing franchise right now.

Guys I know we have pride and love the team but how can you not see we are a laughing stock. I live in NE and whenever I tell folks I'm a Dolphins fan they laugh. Does it get any clearer than that?

Hence why I'm loving the drama around the Pats right now.

When New England is running 4th down fake punts on their own side of the field, they show just how much they don’t respect Miami lol

Damn if you do, Damn if you don't. Seems to me that whatever the Dolphins do, someone will question the moves, if we continued to have one of the highest salaries in the league while underperforming, someone would have a problem with that, nevertheless, we are rebuilding the team from the ground up starting with the coaching staff and purging pricey players, still some complain. We have done nothing for the last 20 years, isn't it refreshing that finally we gat a young coach that comes in making drastic changes in order to make us better? Some of these cuts are hurtful, but let's see the finish product before we again call for a new HC, or a new FO or a new Owner, or a.....you get the point.

Do we really need to criticize every little comment here? He has a valid point. Maybe laughing stock is is extreme but we've been an embarrassing franchise for years now. Let's stop nit picking every little thing, jesus.
