I'll take Vince Young

Omar Jacobs is the man, forget about Vince Young I'd take Jacobs over Young any day. Jacobs is a beast as a passer and has good mobility too reminds me of Culpepper

VY is 6'5", 233 lbs. I think he was timed between 4.4-4.5 in the 40 in high school (4.4 was listed on Rivals.com). He was also a member of two District Champion 400-meter relay squads in high school. He is more elusive than Matt Jones, who hasn't proved anything yet by the way, he is yet to play a real game in the NFL. Just watch VY play and you can see his speed. He out runs everyone on the field and that is more important than his time in the 40 in terms of effectiveness as a player.

Lets forego all the what if situations with future QBs...You all know that things don't work that way in the NFL...too many things have to happen for us to be in the same draft position this coming year as last year...lets play the season and then worry about the 06 draft next year...

Please give me a list of Qbs...even outside the MAC....who have had a college career like Jacobs and turned into the type of pro you and others are making of Jacobs.

Big Ben and Rivers don't count; haven't played more than one season if that.
Leftwich don't count: people are still questioning him, especially with Garrards play.
Pennington don't count: shows ability btu can't put together 1 full solid season.

Show me a good list and I will reserve my opinion on Jacobs..

McNair
Culpepper
Cunningham
Matt Hasselbeck
Kurt Warner

and I'm sure the list goes on and on

I LOVED Vince running all over U-Michigan.. but I don't think he will make it as a QB in the NFL.

I like Vince Young, but I would prefer Leinart. If people are comparing Jacobs and Young, my biggest reason for preferring Young was that in the Rose Bowl with 4 other 1st rd picks on the field, he was the best player, now Jacobs wasn't the best player on the field vs Wisconsin on saturday. Both of the guys got alot of work to do, and both could be busts, because of bad mechanics.

Vince Young is awful...only had one good game against Michigan. Dont think he even threw 10 passes in that one. Besides Leinart, Jacobs, Leak and Whitehurst...i liked what i saw out of Jay Davis from NCState...

Vince Young may not be the best QB, but he is far from awful. Maybe it was the only good game that you saw. You may want to look back at the games from the past 2 years and will see that he has had several good passing games. He doesn't throw for 400 yards a game because that is not how their offense is designed and he is not asked to throw it 40 times a game. His stats in the Michigan game happened to be 16-28 for 181 yds and 1 td and 21 rushes for 191 yds and 4 tds.

He is far from awful, we all know he had to work on his passing this year and we'll find out next week how much he has improved, but he is still an amazing athlete and a very intruiging prospect.

Vince Young is in the Mike Vick mold.. Bad Passer but if you can run and pass enough to keep teams honest you can win some games in the NFL. The Falcons are not a great team but when Vick is in the game they can be very dangerous. Like the Falcons have done, you have to be ready to build your team around this guy because he won't make it in a trad. NFL system.

His style maybe similar to Vick, but he's got 5 inches on him. People write alot of negative stuff about Vick, but Atlanta's record with him, and without him is incredible. He's not the greatest passer, but when people say he's not a good QB, I just wonder how do they win with him, and without him they're easily one of the worst teams in the league.

Vince Young could make it in the NFL but he will be much like Vick in the way that he runs too much and has trouble being a passer

Well, this week agains OSU will either prove or disprove my post. We'll see. I watched him play last year and run every opportunity he got. I watched last week's game and saw a different QB from last year. I think he'll prove me right.....but We'll see.

Young is gonna get crushed by that Buckeye Defense. GOOO BUCKEYES.:)
