All these season ending injuries are decimating our roster, and more importantly our roll over cap space for next year. Every time we add a new player that takes away roll over money for next year. And lessens our chances of keeping Landry, our own free agents and still be players in the FA market. With our current o-line and LBs we aren't going to win a Super Bowl, all we are doing is putting ourselves in future salary cap hell. At some point we all have to come to the realization that this is a plagued lost season and move on, and worry about the future.

I don't think they were going to pay he price to keep Landry. They have some up and comers who can fill his roll and they would probably get a high compensatory pick if he signs elsewhere. I think they will restructure some contracts and would not be surprised if they traded for LB Mychal Kendricks from the Eagles.

1) They won't be players in free agency next year that is just a matter of fact at this point
2) They are probably going to cut guys like Maxwell and Pouncey AFTER this year and open up a bunch of cap space that way. Just how their contracts are set up and what both bring to the table.
3) Landry is the least of Miami's problems right now. He has an off the field issue he needs to clear up, possible suspension coming if it isn't cleaned up, and they can tag him if they want to control him for one more year

How is Landry suspended if he didn't do anything? I mean the baby momma signed the police report stating he did nothing to her

Let's see how the team responds before you give up. Yes, I'm deeply disappointed by the injuries but other players can step up. We have a smart young coach, who the players appear to respond to and a lot of effort has gone into developing young talent. Experienced veteran players like William Hayes and Lawrence Timmons will solidify the Defense and the DBs will be fine. My biggest concern is the O-line and the key to that will be Pouncey's health. Cutler has lots of weapons if the O-line can protect him.

What a crap thread this is.

Cutler may very well be better than RT, and there is no difference between having a guy come off the books than having a cap rollover; WTH are you thinking?
We may end up with over 60 mil in cap next year after the under-performing vets are released and the free agents fall off the books.

There are still opportunities to be better after the injuries than we otherwise would have been.

Daryl Washington is a criminal, but he is also one of the most talented LB's to play in the NFL in the last decade. We could sign him for peanuts. If Daryl Smith still wants to play football, he is one of the most underrated LB's to ever play. If he is healthy and in shape, he could turn out better than what McMillan could have given us his rookie season.

The Browns are loaded at OG and so are the Panthers. We could possibly acquire Andrew Norwell if we were willing to pony up the draft compensation. It would depend on how good Amini Silatolu and David Yankey looked this off season.

Spencer Drango played well at both guard positions last year and he has two years left on his rookie contract. He is buried on the Browns depth chart behind Kevin Zeitler and All Pro Joel Bitonio.

The opportunities clearly remain to put a more talented 53 on the field after the injuries than before.

Yet, with this front office, there is a better chance nothing will get done.

No. The goal is to win. You think Gase, Suh, Wake, or anyone else on that roster thinks it's a lost season and it doesn't matter anymore? The only person on the roster likely rooting for failure is Tannehill lol. If Cutler doesn't do well, his job is safe for next year as long as he's ready to go.

we aren't the only team. Ravens just lost their starting LG for the season. Chargers lost Forrest Lamp for the season. it happens

Not saying I am happy about RT or McMillian's injuries, but usually there is a bright side to everything. Who knows, a player not really on our radar, or our team could surprise us in some good way. There is still a lot to like about our team!

OP should go down to the next practice and tell those men on the field the season is lost and then let us know how it worked out..

Because the "baby momma" isn't the one who decides that the District Attorney does and while it is unlikely that the DA will procecute give 1) no arrest was made and 2) the party involved gave a statement to the contrary there has to be something the DA is reviewing and that means there is always a chance of charges being levied.

Don't need to be charged to get suspended. The NFL will do their own investigation and make a decision based on what they find/don't find.
