Oh shut up! Really. I stated my reasoning you just don't like it. I dont' care that few people agree with me.

56-4 don't agree with you on this one.

I voted no. But after watching him in the the championship game last year . That bomb he threw into the end zone hitting the receiver in stride still stands in my mind.

Imo, having another 4-12 season would mean bad things. Either we were just plagued with injuries or our main stars were flops. To have another bad season would mean that what we thought was going to work is not working out at all. Which would mean re-build. That is the only reason why I voted no.

However, if having say a 7-9 season would mean showing tremendous improvement leaving us dolfan fans (even the negative ones) excited and assured we are headed in the right direction. I would give that in a heartbeat for Leinart. We would then have a high enough pick to trade into the top spot and still have some pride.

Im not crying about it!

Understandable. I too would like Leinart but not at the expense of another 4-12 season. Plus that would be another whole season without prime-time games. We are the Dolphins, we deserve to be in the spotlight..;)

If we went 4-12 again even with avg. QB play from Frerrotte, that would mean that there are major problems. We would need to retool the roster and/or the coaching staff. Additionally, losing will go from "one fluke year" to "this is what we are, a losing team". That's one of the things that separates the Dolphins from teams like the Cardinals or even in our division the Jets or Bills. Those teams are used to having multiple losing seasons. I don't ever want to get used to that, much less hope for it.

I don't think 5 losing seasons for the Bills in the 18 years I have been watching them qualifies as used to losing. But let's not the let the facts disturb our illusions.

Jim Haslett is one of the worst coaches in the NFL. I wouldn’t hire that guy to run a Burger King, let alone an NFL team.

I would rather have the team go 4-12, and be a better team 2-3 seasons after that, than be consistently mediocre and not be a legitimate contender. If the question was phrased differently such as "Would you rather be mediocre in the short term, or take another bad year with the possibility of being great in the long term. 8-8, 4-12, both don't get the team in the playoffs, I don't root for the team to lose, but if the team goes 4-12 and gets Leinart I think they're a better team in '06, than if they go 8-8, and get Omar Jacobs.

Next years draft is chock full of Offensive Tackles and if we don't find an LT this coming year we should go that direction. There's D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Jonathan Scott, Andrew Whitworth, and several others. As for QB there is Leinart, Whitehurst, and some players who will come out of nowhere to become a top 5 pick. But I would never hope the Dolphins lose ANY game no matter how meaningless it is.

I dont Care about Matt L he could be the Next Heath Shuler for all we know....He already has one injury. If we get him fine if not so what.

Ignorant?? You don't even know my position on the matter, nor my motivation for posing the question.

THAT is the very definition of ignorance.
YES IGNORANT! What part of IGNORANT do you NOT understand? I said the QUESTION was ignorant, I said nothing about the PERSON asking the question and I didn't attack anyone including yourself for their personal opinion on the issue, I simply stated that the QUESTION in and of ITSELF is ignorant. To imply that someone should accept failure regardless of the reason is ignorant. If that doesn't happen to be YOUR stance, fine, I didn't comment on YOUR stance or opinion, I simply stated once again, the QUESTION, in and of itself is ignorant. It would have been ignorant of me to insult the person asking the question, which I did not. I have not directed an insult to a single person on this website since the day I joined and I do not intend to start now. In my opinion, we are all Dolphin fans with the same hopes and dreams in mind for OUR team. If you felt offended or as if I was directing my comment directly at YOU, then my friend, I apologize!
