Incog Tweets to Martin - "The truth is going to bury you and your entire camp"

The revelation that Martin thought about suicide makes the organization look really bad. They had an important player who thought about killing himself and it seems like they did nothing about it.

Unless you have top secret info.

Per HIPPA, Dolphins could of told no one.

If Joe Philbin truly didn't know then he should be fired on the spot for being clueless, your starting LT is in severe emotional distress and you don't know about it? He's either lying or he's clueless.

Or is protecting himself and the FO from a massive lawsuit?

When it comes to employee/employer lawsuits that include racial discrimination and suicide talk... one wrong word can get you fired and sewed.

But please, bash the coach and the FO for playing their cards.

Clueless Joe has a nice ring to it...

Some here really believe Joe Philbin should run around telling everything he knows just for their benefit and if he doesn't tell all he is clueless.

cute, JLC feels he needs to throw his hat in...

FACT: @68INCOGNITO. Pretty sure I broke the story on the texts of the voicemail, and Kenny Zuckerman had nothing to do with my reporting

So he's bragging about breaking a fabricated story, in which he was completely wrong. Why am I not surprised. Someone should send this to Glazer. I'm sure he'd get a kick out of it.

LaCAnfora is essentially the Armando of national media...

Martin and his camp of fools made this a public battle. Incognito has every right to use the same avenue to defend himself.

Disagree. No doubt Richie is a skeeve in his own right, but evidence from other teammates and the way he handled this originally, demonstrates that he's a good, caringteammate and friend (didn't he defend Martin against Jordan in camp?). As Walrus pointed out, looks like Richie's dad was right about him attempting suicide and posturing with a gun to his head several times, as well as being a drug abuser. With the skeletons he's got, he should have just kept his mouth completely shut and slinked away back into the woodwork like the ****roach he is instead of throwing his best friend on the team under the bus for self-agrandizement by parsing the most inflammatory few texts out of more than a 1000 where he gave as good as he got.
Funny, but I actually mostly agree with you on this, with the exception of the one word. I don't think Martin released the VM to aggrandize himself so much as to explain himself. Here's a borderline depressed, suicidal drug addict kid who is really struggling at LT (no wonder?). Finally breaks down and walks out on the team. People say "What's the matter with you?", "Suck it up, you big wuss", "Walking out on your team - what's your problem?". He releases vm to try to explain his situation. All you-know-what breaks loose. Richie is collateral damage.

I actually feel for Richie in that I think his heart in all of this was mainly in the right place. But the fact is, if you live in a cesspool of drugs and girls and vulgarity and assaults and what-not, usually something is going to go very sideways. Because of that, I think the consequences for Martin and Incog and their careers are probably fair.

Here is what Martin could have done when the voicemail was released. He could have said Richie is my friend, and it was done in fun. We have gone back and for the for two years with each other. I am having trouble in my life, and need help. Then he could have gotten that help. Instead, he dragged his friend through the mud, and might have destroyed his career, by being a back stabbing creep.

I don't think Richie has thought any of this through at all, nor do I believe this was an attempt to deflect damage from a potentially bad Wells report.

I think this was just Richie being Richie. Omar got him all fired up and he couldn't help himself.

While I do agree that when its all said and done this was a "cry for help" from Martin. I think we are kidding ourselves if his "camp" (parents) did not see quick cash on the horizon and exploited their son, actually, wouldn't be surprised if Martin saw the same thing.

Obviously Martin's well being and mental state is far more important than playing football, but you don't drag down people who cared about you and called you friend just because you are the one drowning.

Hey, I'm not justifying Martin's actions. But asking for reasonable behavior from a drug-addled suicidal neurotic, well, you get what you get.

That might be the best theory of all. Richie ain't exactly a schemer and he ain't exactly bright. Any theory that takes that into account is probably a sound one.
