According to Will Davis Whom was there and I trust more than any reporter with a "Source" the bill was split.

Will Davis @WillieD_effect
The bill was definitely split... They would never put that on one man to pay for it all. Haha now that would be crazy...

shhh, don't tell the truth will, ESPN won't report it anyway

Chas Alecxih, who was with the Dolphins last year as a rookie just tweeted that Richie was the furthest thing from a bully. Also said that Richie went out of his way to help out the young guys. Speaks volumes when a player with inside knowledge but no current connection to the team shares his view. He has no reason to side with anyone, so his words mean a lot more than others.

It's not about nothing, most of what they're talking about is probably true. They do stick rookies with tabs. Even non-rookies. They do ride each other and are competitive. But for the most part, they're on the same team and will be supportive of each other. Nothing Incognito has said or done leads me to believe otherwise. He was genuinely supportive of Long, to get him back. He believes in cohesion on the line. He has argued with PFF on twitter that the whole O line deserves more credit for Millers 4.8 yards per carry. He has said he welcomes Martin back. And Martin himself, blames a tough lockeroom atmosphere but no one person in particular, and never felt it was serious enough to go to the coach.

There's obviously truth in a lot of what the reporters are saying, but there's also something called perspective, and context. They're completely blowing it out of proportion and demonizing players they choose to single out because it's good for a story, and gets them attention and web clicks.[/QUOTE

I cannot say if this is being blown out of proportion or not. Years ago, it would not likely be an issue. However, today there are Human Resources, which did not exist back then. The crossing, or not crossing, their line is yet to be determined, as is what really happened.

I like Cog, and his "altitude of attitude" but, he is a throw back type player, who may not understand what he did was wrong in today's game. Much more to learn before we can point any fingers.

Did anyone else notice lots of posters on here automaticly started blaming Incognito (the bully) for Martin's departure (see other thread). My guess on the reason would be because Incognito was once voted as one of the dirtiest players in the NFL. Maybe just maybe Martin has some issues that did attention. The point is Adam Schefter is wrong and assumed it was Ingognito just like a lot of you. When will people learn the media is always self serving as they have something to sell or gain, either by name or money, IMHO.

Not many people have the patience to wait until the truth comes out. It's one of the downfalls of social media.

A trip to vegas not that big of deal compared to other similar stories I have heard before.
At some point, Dallas Cowboys rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant was going to get his comeuppance. Teammate Roy Williams all but guaranteed that during training camp.

Bryant made national news in training camp when he refused to carry Williams' pads after practice -- bucking the trend of veteran NFL players hazing rookies. Bryant later said he didn't know about such tradition.

"I'm not doing it," Bryant said then. "I feel like I was drafted to play football, not carry another player's pads."

Williams excused it, saying then that Bryant, who received $8.3 million in guaranteed money from his rookie contract, would just have to take the team out to dinner and get him some new shoes.

Well, that dinner happened Monday night. The final tab: $54,896.

Bryant took the offensive players out to Pappas Bros. Steakhouse. Williams, however, made sure Bryant got the message, inviting defensive players as well.

And guess who was left holding the bill afterward.

"They got the young fella," said Bryant's adviser, David Wells. "What could he say? He had to pay it unless he wanted to wash dishes for a month."

Players ordered basically everything on the menu and even took home bottles of wine.

After checking out the 90-page wine book, it's anybody's guess if anybody took home a bottle of Chateau Latour for $9,000. It's also possible a few players ordered a bottle of PlumpJack Reserve for $600.

Its wrong in todays game according to whom?? Are you trying to make humans into robots? When in todays game did, playing a prank on some one is wrong in todays society and should be prohibited in todays culture? Our talking into someone to participate in an event. These are grown adults they should know how to say no, Human Resource even in todays business can only get involve in so much. How far are we going to probe and guard people feelings who as an adult should be able to handle their own. And even todays Human Resource will tell you, that at some point you have to be able to speak and have social skills yourself.

Should use the Gif of Seft trying to catch that pass from the jugs machine and falling down. Pure fail.

I'm surprised schefter didn't report that the jugs machine was a bully and the guys laughing at him were bullies too.

espn has it out for incognito now, a lawsuit is the only way to stop this

What Incognito did or didn't do is totally irrelevant to the issue at hand. The issue is that he is an entertainer and the Dolphin's product in entertainment. In the world of politics and entertainment there is a rule that you never violate if you want to keep your career: NEVER GET INTO A PISSING MATCH WITH PEOPLE WHO BUY THEIR INK BY THE BARREL. By tweeting Schefter Incognito just got into a pissing match with someone who has the ability to destroy his career through bad publicity. Idiot move. Today's story about Incognito's involvement in the rookies paying for team dinners was just an initial shot across the bow. If this is where Schefter and his supporters in the press make their inititial bid, imagine where they will be willing to go if Incognito reciprocates or escalates. I have no doubt Incognito's agent has already called him and advised him to can the attitude immediately. After all, all it takes is some well placed rumors, true or not, about a player beating his wife or worse and he becomes untouchable.

To be fair to Richie, who I'm not really a big fan of as a person, Schefter has had it out for him for a while now.

yea earlier this year adam jumped the gun reporting about incognito punching that bouncer. even though the bouncer provoked the whole incident and the hotel wouldn't press charges cuz they knew it

I'm not trying to do anything, and do not know what actually happened, same as you. I have dealt with HR in the past, and I believe they are crazy.

In construction, while building a supermarket in CT, one of my crew told a gal that she looked hot. She reported it, and they wanted him fired. I asked them if they were FRAKIN NUTS and they left him, under my responsibility, to continue work, with the agreement that if it happened again he would be fired, with me likely. True story for a stock exchange company.

Google Human Resources. You will find that a man can only stare at a great looking gal for a few seconds without it being a problem. NOT agreeing, just advising of the current day and age we live in.
