This whole situation is a cluster****, but re-reading this thread is hilarious. I dont care who you are.

Just look at this thread. LOOK AT IT.

Isn't it crazy how people blindly support things because they feel they are invested somehow...that's my team these reports are false without allowing all the dust to settle...reminds me of politics these days, no one admits when "their side" is bending us all over, sadly that's why it's so easy to control the masses

lmao, we are officially a circus of clowns. the 0-8 jaguars look better than us right now.

It may still come out that Incognito didn't do anything particularly egregious here, but I kinda doubt it.

The team was right to suspend him pending an investigation, even if it means our QB is going to get put on IR. Maybe this will compel Mike Sherman to get off his ass and call something other than all verticals with nothing but 5 subpar linemen and a bad blocking halfback as protection.

Shef vs cog. My money is definitely on cog coming out of this looking way worse than the reporter.

You should have had to give at least 1/100 odds on that. This thread is simply amazing. I inherited it midstream this afternoon and couldn't believe what I was looking at. Somehow there's such jealousy and animosity toward the sports media that fans lose any threat of perspective. There were actually claims that Incognito should file a lawsuit, with likelihood of success.

As I posted in some thread -- not sure if it was this one -- am I really allowed to back the reporters' version above Richie Incognito? I can look good merely for understanding which version was likely to be closer to the truth? Unbelievable.

Now, I don't want to make this look like any type of comparison to the Aaron Hernandez situation. One is a murderer, the other a mere jerk. But there are some similarities in how they handled the ending. Hernandez had fired a gun into human beings so many times he didn't understand why it was suddenly a big deal. Just bust the video camera and show up at team headquarters like all is swell. Incognito had bullied and teased and abused so many teammates, friends and strangers over the past decade that he assumed he could challenge and try to intimidate any reporter who attempted to put a negative spotlight on him. Quite apropos that it fell apart literally within hours.

I partially blame the Dolphins. As I mentioned, they elevated and excused Incognito to such extent he's the feature on the public service messages at the home games. That spot was shown multiple times on Thursday night. Incognito tells fans not to use profanity or any other type of abuse. I couldn't believe it was possible. Why Incognito when you've got so many outstanding members of the community on the team? Incognito signs off with, "Anything else would be uncivilized."

Show him the uncivilized door.

Nobody likes an ******* and a bully, either. And nobody likes someone who is "weak". Martin needs to make a full accounting rather than hoping the issue goes away and he can sneak back into the door without anybody noticing. If he does that and people think he was too sensitive, then so be it. If he does that and people think, "wow, Richie Incognito is a rabid ******* who should not be employed, not just by the NFL but by anybody", then so be that, too.

You can't put the toothpaste back in the tube. The only way NFL teams are going to feel comfortable putting him on a roster is if they don't think a) he's emotionally vulnerable, b) he's liable to air dirty laundry without a good reason. The only way out for him is to make Incognito look like a complete jerk (for which he better have proof). That's the only way he'll garner sympathy. The problem for Martin is that making Incognito look like a jerk is going to make the team look bad for not stopping the jerk. I'm sure he doesn't want that but at this point it's the only thing he can do.

Did I nail this or what?

What a hilarious thread.

I guess the tweets aren't so awesome. I like Scheftner myself.

careful richie, you dont want schefter to file for bullying too

Screw Incognito. Cut that fat turd. And Martin. Get rid of these idiots and get some high character guys in here who wanna win and not play grab ass and sissy games

Schefter is a douchbag who hasn't done any kind of real reporting that I have ever heard. He repeats things we have all heard. Not sure I get the hatred of Cogs on here. His tweets were awesome and if he thought he had done anything wrong I can't imagine him going to that length. Unless, he was being mean to someone on the team. Then I am sure Nancy from the bridge club would not approve. I can't believe this guy gets suspended. If he did anything "mean", then the rest of the OL knew about it and probably did it too. Like all NFL teams, there is self-policing going on as there should be. And if Cogs was out of line, the rest of the team would have told him that. That's how it works.

Not sure I get the hatred of Cogs on here. His tweets were awesome...

You're not sure why some people might have a problem with a guy who appears to be a bullying racist butthole? And his awesome tweets don't look so awesome in light of the new information that's come out tonight.

There isn't any new information that has come out and no one knows what happened. And we certainly don't know if it was racist. A butthole? Is this Martin? Yeah they were awesome. Calling out any of the ESPN jaggoffs for saying anything not true about him take balls.
