I hate this. The comment that Langford is a " great player". The comment that Odrick is a "pressure player". These guys are not
Impact players at all! Odrick is a first round pick and has hardly played like it. Throw in the Henne comment and I am left with only one word : CLUELESS
Patience? How many years of below .500 before fans have the right to expect more?

Toward the end of the season I heard Odrick's name called at least 2 or 3 times a game for positive plays. He was getting to the QB and even had a few sacks. I think the light is turning for him and this was essentially his rookie year. Give him a chance to develop, too many are too quick to judge him due to their hate for Ireland.

6 sacks 1 Forced Fumble & 1 Int is not enough for a 3-4 DE who played of the bench and was basically playing his rookie year?

Good stuff by Ireland and I think we will see some good signings this year.

Having 1 more pass rusher will help the D tremendously, once Wake was double teamed, most of the Qb has over 4 seconds to throw the ball, that is ridiculous. and still we had a lot of turnovers on D at the end of the season.

I agree with most of this, but Odrick was pretty BA this season.

Ireland admitting he has some inside track on RG3 raving about RG3 on Big 105.9. What's he mean about that?

Wish he would have been asked:

a)why Ross had to step in to veto the Orton trade- a deal that should never have been considered at all

b)why he himself didn't step in to steer Ross away from a mediocre ground and pound HC with control issues having only 6 winning seasons out of 17 yet was being courted like a beautiful virgin princess

c)exactly how did the decision to draft wee Patty White go down - and was everyone sober?

The problem with Langford and Odrick is that they are 2 gap DE, their job is to hold on blockers, we just need to change the scheme to a 1 gap system and watch them get to QB. I think Odrick had a good season.

Agree! Most knowledgeable people would understand that is a great year for a rookie (which Odrick essentially was, especially with NO organized offseason last year) picked 28th in the first round!

All valid questions especially in that context.

And that was with Mike Nolan using him as a pass rushing end on passing downs. This guy will take off in a 4-3 defense playing the three technique, IMO.
